What I like about Simon is he's completely magnanimous in victory, and generous in defeat. Shows real class and a good upbringing.

Hello. That was a fine analysis. Nice game, sir. From my 1000-ish rated point of view, those high level games seem like fine tuning. My games are more like brawls in the mud. Have fun in your tournament !

Moving hotel? The Simon I thought I knew would've been giving it large at the rave until six, then rolling in half-cut and winning in twenty moves. Where did it all go wrong?

Love your analysis Simon. Just wondering if you can recommend any good coaches in the south London area. Many thanks.

Don’t know a coach, but there’s a chess club in Tooting markets on Monday evenings which could be a good place to start.

Simon is a gambler. He is no more going to sit tight on a position then I am going to grow wings and fly. Given the same circumstances and position, he is going to play the same way. He is lying to himself to say otherwise. It is not so bad though. He wins many a fine game this way. He just had to be sure of his calculations.

Love your deep analysis. PS. You pronounce Leela as Layla (Leila), but it's Lii'la as in Leeloo (key blue)

Yeh chess is a game where weak and passive opponent often wins. So literally it's often a game where mentality of a loser wins. That's why it's loved mostly by those
