Pro tip: when draining the fluid out, use one hand to slowly remove the drain plug, then with the other hand hold the plastic drain pan right up to where the oil comes out; this helps to prevent the splashing and spilling of dirty fluid all over the place. Since only two quarts will come out, you can continue to hold the drain pan up high and let the fluid just fall right into it. Make sure you remove the fill plug first, of course. When refilling, use the funnel with a hose attached you can get at the local auto parts store for $2.99. With the left front wheel removed you have easy access. Cheers!

Just had my transmission oil changed at ford dealers, My car has done 46000 miles. 2013 focus st 3 . What a difference, You are so right. Gearbox feels so much stiffer and smoother. The technician was very surprised though, He asked was there any issues with the gearbox, when I said No, I just wanted to freshen up the oil in the gearbox, He said we don’t really do many gearbox oil changes unless the transmission has had a rebuilt. He said the oil was fine and very clean, But as soon as I jumped back in the car I could notice the difference right away. Feels great and definitely worth doing 👌

@@Tomix12MineCraft hi, it completely fixed my issue. The gears have no issues slotting in, even if the trans oil is cold. And since I don't drive a lot now I replace my trans oil every 2 years, regardless of mileage. The trans takes 1.8 litres of oil after removing the drain plug and the price is quite cheap. Never struggled getting into a gear since I did this. Hope it helps. Cheers.

Jeebs, when talking about a vehicles acceleration, like the Golf R, it is "quicker", not faster, than the Foc ST. If your talking top speed comparo or 1/4 trap speeds, yes the Golf R is faster by 6-8 mph in the traps and because it can top out at approx 155-160 mph and Foc ST can barely hit 140.... Faster refers to a designation of mph either in the 1/4 or top speed. 0-60 in a stock ST of 6.4 sec vs a stock Golf R DSG's 4.9 sec means the Golf R is much quicker.

Agreed, those stock wheels are ugly! That's why I replaced mine ('16 Kona blue.) with earlier factory Ford 18 inchers from 2013 to 2014 with the same bolt pattern and offset. They weren't factory stock ST wheels. I believe the the Y spoke has been the factory stock ST wheel since 2012. These are a simple 5 spoke silver metal flake wheel. I searched for the first 2 years looking for an aftermarket wheel I liked, but found nothing that I cared for.
