The For Rent pack is inspired by SEA!! I guess you could say that, but actually renting is very popular in these areas due to high population and demand of space.

When I think of Apartments and For Rent I definitely think of either New York or Tokyo so I definitely understand what you are saying, but the thing is… we already have both New York and Tokyo in the game through San Myshuno and Mt Komerebi. So it would feel very redundant for me for them to repeat that architecture or theme in an expansion pack. I’m glad they went in a new South East Asian direction.

I think it's supposed to be Thai themed this time. I'm looking forward to the gameplay. Not sure about the world only because it's not familiar to me. The apartment building is really cool. I always look forward to see how you get really creative with items to make new things. It's very inspiring and enjoyed it.

At the end of the year EVS some times get a small bonus so that is when I purchase a new expansion to my game. Other than that it's trying to keep the seasonal🙄 rising rent paid, internet connected and phone on. My guilty pleased. 😂 I need to try to make stories one day. 😊 I really appreciate and enjoy your builds in my game. Thank you. 🙌🏾

Thanks for the shoutout my friend! My fingers are crossed for spiral stairs more than elevators because we can use the RoM portals to simulate elevators as we have been doing since they came to the game. The "shaft" on the 5 lot build in the teaser SEEMS to have an open space in front of it - so that would make more sense as an opening for stairs (spiral - fingers crossed.) But you're 1000% right they would show new features off! So probably wishful thinking! Cannot wait for this pack and new systems. I will be adding your updated community builds to my game for certain. Totally agree Southeast Asian isn't the "obvious" decor style choice when I think "For Rent" but I'm not bothered. And it's normal for that part of the world. I'm always very excited to have more culture representation in the game.

Very nice building, thank you! So many things you said, I agree! How shall we tell the system that a space belongs to a specific apartement if it is no room (tecnically)? I would have loved to see another big city and now they come with another village... (though, it´s nice). One big question for me is how I can give the apartements to my own, selfmade sims? I don´t want the funny strangers with the eyebrow rings etc. from that townie tenant list!

I have mixed feelings about them using Thailand as a style for that pack too. Both it and Snowy escape feel a little stereotypical to me and it had been better if simmers from those countries designed the objects and houses. And I don't really know if Thailand is mostly known for rental homes. It kind of feels like Snowy Escape but tropical this time without sports and an even more detailed rental system! The animal sanctuary which is probably a rabbit hole would be a better pack for Thailand so one can ride elephants, and care for tigers and stuff..! And rental be in a more international pack overall..! Just my opinion. I wonder what simmers from Thailand think though. It feels like they took two unrelated packs and crashed them together.

respectfully, do you think it would be LESS stereotypical for a pack about thailand to be about riding elephants or raising tigers?? it makes sense for a pack about apartments to be set in an asian world... thats a very common form of housing there. as in most of the world.

BUT with the idea of let's say.. Zoo expansion pack?... people will stand in LINE to buy this pack AND... it will be more "Fitting" ya to Thailand theme ... don't take it to bad places..

yea the south east asian aesthetic literally makes no sense because apartments aren't such a big thing there. maybe multiple families on one lot, but not renting.

yes but they're essentially useless. Their only use is for penthouses to connect to ground level. There's a mod to make elevators actually functional but in my opinion you shouldn't need a mod. The Sims 3 had perfectly serviceable elevators, they should just copy what they did there.

We did but as the Mate before me indicated... they are only cosmetic, you can only place 1 in a lot (they function as a "spawn point" of the lot that you placed it in... the community wants elevators that more like in sims 3... you go in the first floor exit the second or higher... 😊 and yes.. mods are nice.. but games should not have mods, they should have the things the community wants at the end😅

great build but 750 simoleans is a wee bit cheap side , wouldnt get you a bed in london uk , my friend pays rent of 8,000 a month for her 2 bed in london plus i saw a 32 million pound town house in chelsea over 8 floors
