Karina on Lifting Pins and Needles did a video on drafting a facing for the neckline to use when you want neckline to fold open and not show the wrong side. She has so many good videos on sewing hacks. Love your Rhapsody makes and plans - such a lovely pattern with so many options.

Oh thank you, Lara! The dog fabric is beginning to grow on me so I'm excited to see how it turns out. I also have a StyleArc dress pattern that I might use to also make a dress out of the material.

I hope you, your husband, and Addy June have a great 4th of July weekend. It's so much more fun to celebrate when you have small children. My husband and I just use it as an excuse to eat!

Lovely, lovely makes! Great fabric choices for this style pattern. I bought two floaty rayon fabrics yesterday for some kind of summer dress, and you’ve inspired me to make two Rhapsody dresses. (I keep planning to take pictures to send you, like you asked.) The dress pattern I’m really loving right now is the Love Notions Tidal in cotton/Lycra knits. I’m a bit late to that pattern but it’s wonderful. And you’re so generous to offer to sew for your boss. Good luck with that!

Hi Rachel! I noticed the Love Notions Tidal pattern was $5 last Friday. I almost bought it, but was able to fight the urge. It looks like a great pattern. Let me know how it turns out. I love all of your Rhapsodies! I really like the sleeveless version for the summer and I have one planned to match the linen shorts I’m working on. The fabric is in the wash, waiting for drying now. Stay tuned. A capped sleeve version will be next, but I think I need to sandwich in a Fringe Dress.

Hey Lynn! I hear you with the sleeveless! It's so hot here right now - I'm wearing nothing but Lago tank tops and shorts. It sounds like you're busy with lots of sewing projects. I just finished the Aria button up shirt and I love it! I'm working on the dress version right now. Something has clicked recently and I'm just a sewing mad woman! But I'm having a good time with it. You are prolific this month! The most interesting thing is that every one of the Rhapsody's you've made are so different. Great idea on the tie for the dress. And stay tape - why don't we use that more? Such a lifesaver for flimsy fabrics that won't hold their shape on the edge. Your dog print is going to look great with the shorts. And I'm interested to hear how you get on with the ITS skirt. So cute.

Izzy, I know you say you don't do dresses, but you should really give them a try. You looked beautiful in your birthday dress! Also, the rhapsody dress has such an effortless feel when wearing it. Love your rhapsody tops. Was wondering if you had seen the love notions blog on this top. A sewist had made this top using knit fabrics also. You had made the style arc Barb pants. Would that be good for a beginner? I’m much more comfortable in knit pants. You are always so willing to share your knowledge. Would you ever consider doing a sew along? You would be great. Hello Irene! You are so nice! I haven't seen the love notions blog yet, but now that you mention it, I'll give it a look. I think the Barb stretch pants is a beginner pattern. Sometimes the StyleArc instructions aren't that great, but overall, it's a pretty easy sew. I was actually thinking of making another pair, but I changed my mind and am going to sew the StyleArc Parker Ponte Pants. I've been thinking of doing a sew along. I appreciate your confidence in me! I'm feeling very good these days. I hope you are doing well too. ❤️🌼

When you do the rhapsody in a cotton lawn, rotate the dart into the gathers. Do you still do a half-inch bust adjustment ?

Hi Cathy! Yes, I still do the 1/2 inch bust adjustment. It gives me a little more room across the bust.
