@Teve Head Im sorry, but don't you call Santa Clause Juletomten? So how can the translation be Chritsmas Ram? A Ram is a male goat and a tomten is like a Brownie or Hob? Im very confused, can one of you please explain?

@@TKDDLJ09 Jultomten is the more moderns Swedish name of Santa, however the "original" santa was called "Julbocken". A "bock" is a Ram. This version of Santa was also a bit more grim, with him stalking around the houses of villages to see who was naughty or nice - and if you made eyecontact with him something awful were to happen (don't remember exactly what though). Julbocken led to people being terrified of looking out of windows during the nights of december!

@@moonmakes aa ok I see, in Finnish we kept the old traditional name for Santa. "Joulupukki" in Finnish, kinda similar to "Julbocken".

@@moonmakes and @Teve Head, you're both a bit confused. A "bock" is a male goat (think "getabock"). A male sheep, or a ram, is a "bagge" in Swedish. Julbocken is aptly translated as yule goat.
