HUGE thank you to Eli from Two-Rock for building me this amp about a year ago, I never thought I would own a Two-Rock, and how special this amp is isn't lost on me.

@lestermusic
Two-Rock is without a doubt one of the most legendary modern amp companies, and I've finally gotten the chance to live with one for about a year now after many years of not fully understanding the hype. It's quickly become one of my favorite amps for almost every musical situation, it's a true workhorse amp. In today's video I'm going to walk you through the full feature set of my Two-Rock Classic Reverb Signature, and show how truly versatile it can be.

Absolutely amazing, this is the best walk-through of the Classic Reverb I have seen. I think the difference is you have used it for a year and genuinely want to share your experience (Rather than trying it out for a week for a video). While I'm not sure your personal sound from the amp is the "classic" Two Rock sound, it is obviously one of the amazing sounds from this amp and one that I did not realize this "clean platform" provided. The newest TR model is based on a DR, and Mick said he wishes he bought that. You could save up ~$300 for a high V tube-based Tubesteader brand Beekeeper or Lightkeeper pedal if you want a really dynamic D-style lead tone, although I prefer the sound of the Magnezium. Most of the D-style is sound is from the preamp section anyway.

I have a Bloomfield drive. It’s not gonna make anyone a better player but I sold pretty much every other amp I had after getting it. It does low volume better then 20 something watt combos for some reason. It just does everything. I have never really had a desire to get any other amps. It can sound like a cranked super reverb, it can sound marshal-ish, it can sound tweed. All the tone shaping on this amp really just makes it an end all be all amp. I just wish it had tube tremolo! Also the amp is so hifi, that putting pedals in front of it quickly creates a noticeable tone suck. This amp really sounds best with minimal pedals.

I recently bought a Two Rock Traditional Clean 100w. Amazing amp! It took me a long time of working and saving but I finally got one. I recorded a clip of me playing it on my phone and posted it to one my social media platforms. Right away I got comments "NOT WORTH THE MONEY" and my favorite one " MY BLACKHEART AMP SOUNDS JUST LIKE THAT"..... yeah ok bro. It's all coming from people who have probably never played one and are judging an amp from an iPhone video. I've found that if something is out of reach immediately people are quick to dismiss it and say overpriced, not worth it, I've got an amp for $2.00 that sounds better. It's all about what you want and if you want to work towards something and it's not fair to say something isn't worth it just because you can't afford it at that moment. Great video Rhett and my Two Rock is the best amp that I own!

I just went through the demo of all the various settings a couple of times, and what I’m hearing is that this amp has a pronounced “character” sound that was present no matter how you dialled it. Not something I would consider extremely versatile. No matter what the setting, even in that attempt at a scooped Fender sound, I hear a particular kind of pronounced midrange - not sure quite what frequency range, but it sounds for my taste like what I think of as a “congested” sound. Like it’s always leaning a bit toward a cocked wah sound. Not a bad sound, for sure. But not something I personally would want as a foundation tone in everything I play.

Great little combo vs doing the old Fender Twin and JCM 800 thing.
