You go girlfriend!!! By the way, I have followed Eve for a number of years. I had the Sew What Pro programs for 4 years. I made do with what I need them for. In 2018 I found Eve and I learned from her. LOL It only took 4 years for a creator to post the tutorials that I was interested in!!! You take care!!! Oh, a tip I learned this week was to cut multiple elements on the same flock. You can use the blue tape to cover up what you do not want to brush the stones into. I was excited to learn this because I had just cut 6 feet of flock for most of my Christmas designs! As you move forward, there is a young man, of Detour Shirts KZbin channel, who teaches Affinity Designer. He shows how to work with the star shapes to create sprays. I was able to do that in Business Edition. LOL And I learned that some of those shapes have handles and such to work with!!! I LOVE Learning! And you did very well with this video! Your followers will go back and reference this as they begin working with rhinestones!!! You are a wonderful inspiration! Merry Christmas!!! Take care!!! Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene. p.s. And with the New Year we WILL be blinging out earrings!!! :) :) :)

Thank you so much Dar!!! I love that the Baby's Booty is so detailed and precise!!! That's how I learn best. Thanks for the tip about putting multiple elements on one piece of flock and taping off what you don't need at the time. I will check out the Detour Shirts channel to see what Affinity Designer is all about. Yes, blinging out some earrings sounds like a great plan!!! Thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!!!

You can change the unit you are using by going to Edit, and then Settings. The size of the hole will be governed by the stone size you select, but you can change the unit of measurement to your preferred setting. Thanks so much for watching!

Do rhinestone script text work the same way you explained
@MakingwithMarilyn Жыл бұрын
Yes, it does work the same way. Script can be a little trickier to design with because of all the curves, etc., but checking and fixing the hole size works the same as this. Thank you for watching!

Hello Thanks for the video. My question is I understand to use SS10 rhinestones the holes has to be 0.13 etc but im confused at how to size the image or fonts to different size shirts because all the letters are the same size. Would I cut use the same size font on a small shirt VS a X-large? Thanks for your time
@MakingwithMarilyn2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, you would need to either use the same size or design multiple sizes of the template.

Denise, I can tell that you asked another question but I can't read it all. Looks like maybe you figured out what to do and deleted it? Anyway, I am happy to help you figure out your Etsy file if you would like any help. If so, email me at makingwithmarilyn@gmail.com and I will help however I can.

@@MakingwithMarilyn Thanks so much. Yes i deleted it. The file is huge and I can’t use it to make words. I have to take a loss on it. Im gonna purchase a new one from my file addiction in which she had some videos that explains everything so now I have a better understanding. Im new at this and its has most definitely been a learning experience

@@denisesummers408 What was the file supposed to be? When you saw it on Etsy, was it a saying or the alphabet? I may be able to size it down to the correct size if you want to email it to me.

I am trying to make rhinestone letters not this style that you are showing. I do not want to have 3 rows of stones that are in this font. I want to put the holes in the letters where I want them to go. Can this be done? Can I buy a script or block font and then put holes in each letter where I want them to be? If this can be done can you make a video on it or direct me to the videos or someone who can teach me. Thank you in advance. Thank you for this lesson.
@MakingwithMarilyn2 жыл бұрын
You can definitely hand place stones on fonts that you already have or that you purchase instead of using the auto rhinestone feature. That is a great video idea!!! I am out of town for a few days but will put that on my list. Thank you!

Great video, you always make things seem easy, but could also show how you would do this in the Silhouette software and what would you need to do if the holes need to be bigger for an ss10 Rhinestone. I have found that not all ss10 are the same size.

I saw a video from another designer that said eve cuts ss10 at .130 and trw .135. I have some from amazon to start. My question is “is there a major difference in template sizes from one manufacturer to another? And if you have purchased from Amazon what do you cut the templates at?
@MakingwithMarilyn Жыл бұрын
I use .130 typically for rhinestone templates. I have used up to .132 but I don't go as large as trw at 135. What are you buying from Amazon that you are asking about? If you let me know, I will try to help.
