Perhaps but he didn't set her heart on fire and that's so important when any couple is going through a rough patch in their marriage because it makes them want to stand together for their marriage. The only excuse to get out would be "abuse" issues. That's why I got out of my marriage.

Only a few episodes into season 1 he asked her to move in with him but she wanted to be married, and the wedding was only a couple episodes later. They were happy til the first episode of season 3 when he decided he wasn't happy enough. Then the rest of season 3 is her trying to win him back and the first episode of season 4 has the divorce being final. So sad! Especially since the actor playing Joe didn't want to leave the show, he was booted out. A married Rhoda wasn't funny enough they said. I fail to see why. It's not ironic, that word means something else. Sorry but lately I keep seeing this word being used instead of "coincidental", which is what you truly mean. Ironic refers to something happening in the opposite way to what is expected, and typically causing wry amusement because of this.

Brenda seems more impressed with his money and the social status of it.They barely dated and she accepted his proposal? She should have learned from Rhoda and Joe, they dated briefly and their marriage just barely lasted 2 seasons of the show. Ida always dreamed of her daughters getting married but was picky about their men. I have been happily married to the same man since 1980, when we were 19, and I never once heard music or bells, and nor did I want to leap over fences or sing. But, the love has always been genuine, and still is. Hollywood has created that mythical stuff concerning love, since the 1930s. The thing is, everyone is different, but if the love is real that is what counts...not what you don't hear during a passionate kiss or what the persons zodiac sign is.

Donald Trump was President. We had four years of economic gain. We were energy independent. Now, we're a laughing stock with a dementia patient at the helm. I, too, hope that Valerie is resting in peace. At least she doesn't have to be here while the people of Earth tear each other apart.
