Arnel saved the band and brought them a NEW audience they never had before; in the documentary film (Everyman’s Journey), the original band members said they never knew they had fans in the Philippines. Arnel is amazing! Steve Perry was, and still is, amazing! Let’s just leave it at that people.

Can people just stop comparing Arnel Pineda with Steve Perry? They are both great singers. Stop living in the past. Steve was great and yet, we are all still here listening and enjoying Journey's music with the voice of Arnel Pineda. Neal was the one who came after Arnel not the other way around. It won't be easy for Journey to replace Arnel once he leaves the band. (If ever) The bond they have together as a whole band is unimaginable. Arnel is the heart of Journey for 15 years already.

I’m nearly 70. Back in the 80’s I worked in bars with some great “cover” bands in Ontario. I worked many bars, sometimes 2 or 3 different ones at the same time. My bosses worked my schedules for me. I was a single Mom and relied on tips to pay rent. The bars were packed then.I heard a lot of Journey songs done by cover bands…for years. I personally got tired of them. I really never paid attention to Steve Perry back then either. I would sing along to their songs on the car radio at times, but they weren’t on the top of my list like Fleetwood Mac, Supertramp, 10cc, Bowie…However, several years back, when Arnel came upon the scene, I started paying attention. I saw Arnel’s life story and was sooo impressed. I have a new appreciation for Journey thanks to Arnel. The entire band sounds exactly the same as a remember in the 80’s,on that car radio. And it was Steve Perry then, not Arnel. But truly, if I close my eyes and not look at their video, I can barely hear the difference between these two fantastic singers. And I love that! I think that Steve had an awesome voice, and so does Arnel. How many bands get to revive themselves to be just as good as, or even better, than before, after replacing the lead singer…how many bands! I can only think of AC/DC, another favourite before and after journey. (I’m sure there are others, but they just don’t come to mind.) I listen to Journey more in 2024 than I did back in the day, cause now I can’t just sit and listen and watch and appreciate this beautiful sound that I choose to fill up my head, and I’m not busy slinging beer and slapping guy’s hands off my ass and can really enjoy. I love Arnel’s smile. It touches my heart.😊

I don't understand why a lot of people still can't accept Arnel as a part of a journey band. Just be grateful for this man's (Arnel) contribution to continuing the legacy of Steve Perry's songs and making the songs and band alive as much as he can. Just accept that steve can no longer sing. Remember, Steve loves Arnel to keep his songs alive. Yes, there is always an original and it's normal we can't compare the TWO different talents but please just give respect to this man for keeping the journey alive.

comparing is destroying people. These dudes can stand side by side in the whole history of the band. Journey is not only SP. I miss him so much, too, but for 15 years AP has been their front man. I so appreciate Deen Castronovo's interview where he mentioned that having AP has allowed them to move forward and he appreciates him being a chameleon. He also said if AP is out then theyre out. These guys are old, they dont want the drama anymore and just want to perform and share their talent. Even AP idolizes SP so much and SP appreciates AP. I just wish SP, Neal, and Jon will write songs together again. They were awesome. SP will always be The Voice, no one contesting that (or only ignorant people will contest with that). But gee AP doesnt deserve the hate he gets from this so called Journey fans who will only see SP. Journey is a band. Appreciate each and everyone of them for their own part in the WHOLE amazing history of the band.

My Filipino wife says he's got a whole gang of Filipnas that follow him around from show to show. We went to the one in Staples/BitCoin or whatever the heck they call it now,, would have loved to go to the outdoors one here though.

I hope they found arnel earlier. He's already a beast in his late 20's. Come and think of the tours they should've made in that span of time.

One of the toughest job on Earth is doing a journey songs in a concert. What more if you do it like almost a decade or more.. This dude deserve what he have now.. Im hoping to see his new movie..

Yes its true sir its not easy its really the toughest job singing their journey songs. The very high notes . Imagine Arnels biggest. Challenge in his job for 15 years of singing those high notes. No body can do what Arnel did the job. So Idol Arnel needs more more credit. Im always praying the Lord that Arnel will always in good health. Love ❤️ my idol forever. Still watching from Florida 8/2/22
