In this video we show you some of the highlights of RHS Tatton Flower Show 2024.
This year we were asked to help plant the RHS Gardens of the North show feature garden designed by Sharon Hockenhull.
The feature included 3 gardens inspired by RHS Harlow Carr and 3 inspired by RHS Bridgewater.
The show, as always, had lots of garden inspiration to take away and implement in our own gardens at home.

I really enjoyed watching this and you did an amazing job on your garden. You must've been so pleased with the finished results. I know it wasn't your garden but I liked the red mohican Alliums as they're unusual. I've not seen them before. When I Googled them, I see that Farmer Gracy has them. Thanks for filming for us.

Glad you enjoyed it Wendy, there was so much to see and gain inspiration from. We had a great time working on the garden. There were six different mini gardens all with a different style so something for everyone. The Mohican Alliums were our favourite too. They certainly live up to their name! The good weather when the show was on made all the difference as most years it rains. Take care xxx

I love the "my name'5 Doddie" garden. I had to go back to find out the name and was delighted to discover it was this charity. Doddie Weir was from my area in the Scottish Borders. It's a beautiful garden and I love the colour scheme!

@sharonbell7335 That was one of our favourites too especially the lovely stained glass windows and the beautiful planting. It's a small world isn't it! Glad you enjoyed the video, it was the last one for 3 years now as the show is moving to other places over the next two years.

Wow, such beautiful garden displays. The Astilbe were so big and full and what beautiful colors. There was a Dalia that had red/burgundy foliage that I really liked. I grew one once similar that was called "Bishop of Llandaff". Thanks for the tour guys. James

@user-zt6qh3mx7v Thanks James, the Astilbe were massive and in some lovely colours. We like the deep red ones the most. Bishop of Llandaff is a great Dahlia and we had some in the tropical garden of the show garden we worked on. There was so much to see and get inspiration from. Take care James 😀

Been waiting for this, fantastic and inspirational and as Wendy said, the Red Mohican Alliums were stunning imo. Glad the weather played good as well! Did you bring any goodies home? 😁Seeing this just makes me wish I had a garden, not a tiny back yard 😒 Thank you both and happy gardening 😃👍

Thanks Richy 😄 We brought a few plants back including the Eryngium 'Lapis Blue' and Erigeron karvinskianus 'Lavender Lady'. We also have a couple of tender salvias and a lovely dahlia but I can't remember the names without looking at the labels 🤔. We visited Scampton walled garden in North Yorkshire earlier in the week which was great and has been on my list of places to visit for ages. Video to follow 😁. Hope all is well with you. @@MadAboutGardening Cool, you got an E 'Lapis Blue' you won't regret it 😃Erigeron, sounds nice, I bought a similar looking plant, Brachyscome 'Brasco Violet' 👍Looking forward to the Scampton video 👍Salvia's, my guess is 'Roman Red' and 'Amistad purple' or the smaller 'Rockin Deep Purple' I'm sure they're lovely what ever you got 😁😁 Up at 4am so, you both take care and enjoy your weekend 😃😃👍

@martianleaderrichy1520 You're right about the Lapis Blue being so vivid! The blue is amazing. Well you guessed the red salvia correct 👍 it is Roman Red. The purple is called Lighthouse Purple and is very floriferous and compact. They are waiting for their debut on the next garden tour 😁. Take care Richy 😀 👍

@@MadAboutGardening I guessed the colours because I saw a purple one and red one in this Tatton vlog. I've shyed away from these as I prefer the ones with black calyx but they're still beautiful in their own right, my father has Roman Red too 😃👍 Remember, Stake or Break! 😎 Looking forward to the new garden tour when it's ready. @martianleaderrichy1520 You'll be pleased to know the Roman Red has been staked but I've left the purple one because it's very compact. The ones with a black calyx are my favourite too but Andrew loves the red. It's been a lovely weekend with this lovely sunshine. Hope you've managed to enjoy it around working. Take care 😀 👍
