Btw, the E46 M3 chassis is based on the E46 3 series chassis which was introduced in 1998, so 11 years ago. Not so difficult to build a stiffer chassis with 11 years of more chassis technology. But i think the genesis is a very nice car to see. And i read the handling should be good.

you might have mistaken it for the genesis sedan , the genesis sedan came in a v6 as well as a v8 engine. the genesis coupe which you see in the video comes in a i4 turbo version or a v6. the rhys millen genesis (the one you see in this video) has a modified v6 , they added a turbo charger to the engine. produces around 540 to 560 hp and similar torque figures , as in any race spec car the suspension work as been modified with aftermarket parts from KW. hope that helps

can't fully explain it but i do know those cars use an anti-lag system for their turbo setup, in simple terms it allows gas to continue flowing and the turbo to continue spinning and making boost even if the drivers foot is off the gas, i believe those noises come from air being rushed out of the turbo and then getting sucked back in through the turbo outlet itself, but im not sure about that at all

In 1992 rhys millen's dad (Rod Millen) won pikes peak in a hyundai scoupe turbo. Like father like son, both conquer pikes peak in a hyundai. This time around rhys millen does it in a bad ass modded hyundai.

I've driven up Pike's Peak (not raced), and I can tell you now, his record probably won't be beaten anytime soon. definitely not by an amateurs either. 20 miles up a mountain is pretty cool until you get near the top. trying to drive it fast will probably be scary as hell because one mistake and you're dead. game over there ain't nothing to save you.

If you look at the dates of the videos, they must of replaced the motor between the end of April and the beginning of July.

and in case you do come back and read this message. the rhys millen genesis uses KW 3 way fully adjustable coil overs , sway bars , toe in link , etc the engine is a bored and stroked turbo charged lambda v6 from hyundai don't know where you read that other garbage from , granted they did first use a VQ nissan engine during the unveiling of the car. but since its all genuine hyundai

It may be far from what the stock car is, but it's still the same platform. It's like comparing any pro-race setup car with its stock form. As far as I'm concerned, it's like the carbon HKS evo that set that record at Tsukuba, if you consider both the stock and HKS Carbon setup to be Evos, this is still a Genesis Coupe in its own right. Google this car, it's still the Hyundai motor and Hyundai chassis.

actually its a sequential shift gear box, very similar to the "auto/tiptronic/flappy padle gear boxes." but heres a fun fact, those are the same kind of gear boxes that the top rally cars have, as well as the kind motorcycles use.

The only thing is that when you drive a mustang you know that it's the best it can be(handling),and you can't do much more with it.It's a live rear axle,antique tech.The competitors,or similary priced cars like the Gen coupe,or 370Z or BMW's or whatever cand do much much more than the Ford,because they are simply newer in design and engineering.I love the ford but only when it comes to the design aspect,it does look amazing

Actually the car is built by Rhys Millen Motorsports. It has a nissan v6 motor in it. The only relationship it has to Hyundai is the rear bumper and Sponorship!
