Wow, some nice jets there. I enjoy the arrival and departure days as you can see static aircraft too which can sometimes be very rare to see otherwise.

Absolutely! It was my first time doing both arrivals and departures and it was probably the highlight of the week for me - loved it!

Hey there guys sadly I didn’t get to RIAT, but I’ve been to some great shows there in the past, but not so many fast jets now as there used to be back in the day, I remember seeing a Tornado depart on the evening of the last day there once and it booted up the runway on full reheat and when it got wheels up, it just stayed at that altitude for the whole length of the runway and then it just pulled up and went up like a homesick Angel, and that was the year that the ST71A was there and as it pulled up on full reheat it burned up all the grass at the end of the runway just incredible, I was also there when the two Mig 29s collided in a manoeuvre, the pilots ejected but it’s always a great show there and I was lucky enough to be there for arrivals day and the way some of them came in was awesome

Those Swiss F/A-18C's at the beginning are absolutely immaculate, no stains, leaks or dirt anywhere, not bad for 25 year old aircraft!

Absolutely brilliant show this year, I didn't get to watch in person, I had to watch the live stream as I was working. But the added benefit of working was I work at the hotel where at least 160 of the pilots/aircrew were staying at over the weekend.....

Sadly wasn't able to be there to watch them leave, but was always a treat to have a tour around the jets and for some, being able to sit in them for Air Cadets. Definitely coming back next year

I didn't know the Lansen was that big. Interesting to note, that when all these planes are decommissioned and end up as gate guards or in museums, the RAF will still have an airworthy Hunter. What a great, durable plane. And someone will always show up with an A-4 as well.
@marklnz2 жыл бұрын
There are Hunters still being flown around Southern California by private military contractors also...not sure if they're aggressor aircraft or what but they often show up on flightaware and the like.

That A4 looks even better than ever before. Long live the new Skyhawks

Interesting to see how much longer some them take to get "Unstuck" in this hot whether . . I would assume full fuel load for most for the return journey. Particularly, the Hunter and Hawks

How do you get so close to the aircraft and go on the taxiway/ramp?

I'm not sayign that all F-16's should be black with a viper on the tail...but all F-16's should be black with viper on the tail.

Might be stupid question, but why are the jets on the taxi way sideways?

Some good footage fella but one thing a find fairly strange is their takeing of from left to right, they used to do it from right to left I only say this because I went to fair Ford airshow from 90/2000 an OMG it wS a show am a half Tbh going of the footage iv seen this last week it dosent seem to be as big of a show to what it once

The wind was negligible yesterday and many aircraft were overheating so I think it was a case of just finding the runway and using it!
