I love the addition as it’s done sympathetically and the original house has been really elegantly restored with consideration given to the manner in which one lives today while still paying respect to the past in the form and material context.

It's nice to see the RIBA recognize projects like this. From the thumbnail I mistakenly assumed it was a new Classical house. The RIBA has yet to recognize the validity and value in new Classical works. But maybe it will get there eventually. Anyway, I'm always grateful to owners who take on such a challenge. We and future generations owe them a debt of gratitude.
