Once you get your car dailed in you will be back down in the 7's but its an all new setup for you this year brother and once you get it where you need it you will be back where your wanting him to be man and it was the first event for you and him this year and your just going to keep getting better for sure man.... That 240 weighs 600,+ lbs less and has way better aero than Leroy... And he was the first person to get that record that's something no one can ever take, they were first crew to dial in a car good enough to go that fast and with no aero and 3000lbs that's crazy and this was his first real event with that car with the new zr1 rear end he was only playing with it at cleetus and cars on wastegate

He swore he would be faster in 2019 after some losses last year but a 7.55 is insane. Congrats! Poor Cleetus, after a refresh he's gone slower this year. He'll need to run mid-7's at every event just to compete. Even a 7.70 is a losing pass.

If he were to add a body kit, I'd hope it wouldn't just be a Corvette body but instead a full custom aero package designed specifically for this car. Itd be way cooler and allow him to keep the uniqueness that makes Leroy special.

Everyone's over here keyboard warrioring their way up the comments about how Leroy has no aero blah blah blah. That 240 is a damn beast, there's no denying that, but you guys need to keep in mind that Leroy is running a brand new setup, and in some of Cleetus' recent videos Leroy was running only 3mph slower than the 240 ran in the finals. Cleetus blew the tires off Leroy, the 240 made a perfect A to B for the win. Yes, if Leroy has body panels it would be faster, but that's not the idea behind Leroy. Leroy is not just another Corvette, it's meant to be special. Cleetus did something nobody else could, became the first stick shift GM car to break into the 7's. and not only that but he did it...WITH NO BODY PANELS. Leroy's new engine holds so much more power then they're currently running him on, but their dialing him in. You can't just turn him all the way to max without dialing everything else in first. More power you make, higher chance you have to blow something up, break something, or just outright massacre the car because you pushed it to it's limits and hit the damn wall. Cleetus' isn't just some dude with a lot of money building a car with no idea what he's doing. He's got a team around him that know's what they're doing. He's trying to do it right, not destroy everything he's put a ton of money into. Let the professionals do work, and you keyboard warriors sit back, shut up, grab your bag of cheetos and your mtn. dew and enjoy the action. Jesus, bunch of friggin baby's!

He wasn't the first GM stick car. C5 vette but that's it. Guys been in the 7s with GM and Ford N/A cars in the northeast pro stick class. Yes using an H pattern trans. Just because you don't see it on the internet doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Other then that you head it spot on and 100% talking about the new setup. He hasn't been testing with the car like last year. You can't test at an event and expect it to go well at this level. He'll get it worked out but I don't know about anything faster then 7.50s

It’s a suspension and traction thing. And I think it’s cool that the word suspense, like when watching a scary movie, where your emotions move up and down and back and forth, is the reason old Leroy and Cleeter himself can’t get on down the 1320 as fast as that old JAM!
