Kathy Reid - I used to play piano, until I realized I was going nowhere w/ that. I couldn't read music - I could only play by ear. And that just made my piano teacher angry, every time he caught me. I couldn't 'fake it' good enough. Now, I've played guitar 45 yrs & am struggling along with the hammered dulcimer. Not long ago, I had a dream, that I was in Heaven and playing piano like a maestro. How odd. At any rate, I have a notion that when I get to Heaven & meet Rich there, I might have a shot at saying, "Could we jam some?"

What a wonderful evening. I always liked Rich Mullins' music but didn't really become a huge follower until I was an adult looking back on his life. Having all these wonderful concerts pop up on You Tube has been a real blessing. I'm always struck how he sang about his death in what turned out to be a manner similar to what happened.

@@janettecordova2409 I don't know what your definition + criteria for "BEST" is? But even if you just slightly knew Rich you would realize EVERYTHING He Did Was His Best ! Unlike the commercial musicians I suppose you are comparing him to, who put on performances (acting) to increase popularity + profits. Not Richard's style + likely why I love him so much. Depressed, sad, mad, joyous, whatever - He was always HONEST with us + God. Actually a few of his concerts he was very tired + distraught I remember + love the most= Honest + Real. You need "best performances"? Go listen to Michael Smith, Chris Tomlin + hundreds of others who are really great actors.

The best way to describe Rich's music is NPR-Christian. He never let himself get pigeon holed like many other Christian artists. His music was for thinking Christians who aren't swayed by the politics of our time. He wasn't for Right or left, he was for RIGHT and WRONG. Its a pity he's no longer with us. RIP Richard.

I'm so amazed at how rich can play that instrument why can't I think of what it's called but with a wood sticks and the strings across and oh my God I just like get chills and he can sing while he does it it's like playing lead guitar and trying to sing which most people cannot do except for a few exceptional artists and I will not mention them. But the piano, the guitar, and those instruments! And his singing. His sense of humor. I will never forget that. Same with Keith Green. God called them home, when it's our turn will go. But I hear his music in my head all the time. And it's totally relates to our lives as believers. When God looks at us all he sees is Jesus. Praise God. I wish you stayed in my house lol I seen that documentary it's a good one. Love you all and may you all have a prosperous and happy New Year and come Jesus come! My New Year's resolution. Trust in the Lord with all of my heart, lean not on my own understanding. In all of my ways I will acknowledge him, and he will set my path straight. Jesus loves us this we know, for the Bible tells us so.Little ones to him belong, they're weak but he is strong. We are his children! And we have a childlike faith. I'm so thankful for these videos that there was a such thing at the time. I loved the Jesus album because the demos bring back memories to me of how I used to do my music. I could never do what Rich did by going around everywhere, there's people right here that need to hear the message and maybe that's my calling.
