RICH ROLL - ULTRAMAN | Legendiary Ep.7

On this episode we sat down with RICH ROLL, AKA ULTRAMAN!
After having an interrupted career as a butterfly swimmer at Stanford University during the late 80’s due to an alcohol addiction, Rich continued to battle his demons with drugs and alcohol, leading him astray from friends, family and at times landing him in jails. It wasn’t until the eve of his 40th birthday, coming home from a long day of work as an entertainment attorney that it all hit him. Rich was defeated by a flight of stairs, leaving him in pain and a realization that things needed to change as he was on the precipice of a heart attack. He was 50 pounds overweight and unfulfilled.
Today, Rich is a 52 year old Vegan Ultra-Endurance Athlete, a full-time wellness & plant based nutrition advocate, author, public speaker, husband and father of four. His story serves as an inspiration worldwide, and a testament of living a pro active life.

👍Rich you are seeking the truths and being a vegan is part of the truths. You have found your Buddha heart and worked towards its true potentials! I wish you all the success and stick to the path of the thruths which ultimately free you from: 1.身無病苦（a body without sufferings from sickness), why? As Buddha preached to us to be fair to other sentients. What will happen if we don’t? From your experiences you are “sick” and very unhappy 😞 ☹️ 🙁! To be able to change hah you realize the truth and understand Buddha’s meaning in his teaching of fairness! What will happen if you are unfair to other sentients? The unfairness shall work against you as soon as you “perform” that act! You may have gone through the “sufferings” after you did an unfairness act on others! 2. 心無貪念（mind is free from greedy thought) you had become a “wealthy” person once from your “dishonest” legal profession and as the “Buddha heart”which every sentient have as preached by Buddha always live within you, you suffered with unhappiness and disillusionment! So when you let go the greediness with dishonest means you had free yourself! That freedom is a part of the happiness feeling which money just can’t buy! 意不顚倒 (mind is always conscious of the present moment unpolluted and knowing where you want to “go” after this human “world”so that you are always on the true path till your life cease). Normally people of different faiths wish to go to an “eternal” world where sufferings are nonexistent only happiness is there! Buddha recommended humans to cultivate to be able to connect with Amitadbha for him to take one there to “learn” Buddhism but a place free from sufferings! Just what I have learned and trying to share with others. Life is a journey seeking the Truths!
