There are a number of things that we really like about this unit, but also a few things that we don't. In saying that, this unit is only $100 less than the super popular EG46000XP. In this video, we give our opinion on whether or not you should save a little money, or go with the EG4 inverter. ⚡ FOLLOW US: instagram.com/thesolarlab/ www.tiktok.com/@thesolarlab 👨🏼💻 The Solar Lab: www.thesolarlab.com We maintain an affiliate relationship with some of the products reviewed, which means we get a small percentage of a sale if you click our links, at no cost to our viewers.

Thnaks for the video. Have you reviewed the Ethos Batteries with the Lux Inverter?

I think the advantage is 6000 watts on a single line out. the EG4 6000xp is GREAT for split phase but its max is 3000 watts continuous per line. This unit "could" be useful. Say in an RV where you have tons of AC and are one one 120 line. Probably better would be to just buy two EG4 3000s tho.

These companies need to step up their game because these EG4 products are dollar for dollar miles ahead of them right now. Customer loyalty only goes so far 🤷♂

EG4-6000XP the same price as a PowMr SRNE-based 10kW split phase 5k on each leg inverter. Just because a KZbinr gives you a curated set of choices doesn't mean you have done your research
@slugbyteАй бұрын
@@niffrig are you using a powmr inverter? How long and how's the support? I see a lot of very bad experiences with powmr. Thanks

I got it when it was on sale for $799, not a bad unit. Should have bought two

I have the Rich Solar 3kw 48 volt inverter and it ran my Ryobi table saw no problem. But when I tried to run that same saw on my EG4 6kw 48 volt inverter costing twice as much, it failed. Yes, even with that obscenely heavy transformer it failed. What a huge disappointment.

No 240v, wow, a big NO, I'll stay with EG4

We run our whole house on the 6500ex at 120 volts. We can not use the 6000xp as it only has 3000 watts on each leg so a mini split and air fryer can't be run on a single leg. With the 6500 ex we can run both 120v mini's while cooking dinner and the fridge, freezer, lights, tv all can run. The problem with the 6000xp is the split legs, as you can not use all of both legs. We would need a split phase (with seperate unshared legs of 8000 watts (4,000 per leg) or better yet 10,000 watts (5000) on each leg to run our house. Much more money for those. 6500ex at 120 volts and last months power bill for electric use .71 cents, this month .41 cents. 6000xp can't do it. House is 1350 sq ft all electric.

Thank you for the review. It's sounds pretty good for a 120v inverter, but the lack of instructions in the manual to get basics working is a problem. I would like to see the solar input voltage as low as 48v. Saying it has UL cert, without specifying it on the webpage is useless. If I can't see the ACTUAL UL certification in a Picture on the Unit, then as far as I am concerned, it doesn't exist. They also need to put UL certs in the manual, easily available on the site that sells the product.

@davidhamel2663Ай бұрын
No way, you need 2 6000xps.That is why you see so many buying 2 to get 6000 watts on each leg and 240v. 3000 watts on a leg is a waste of time/money.
