If you look at the photo at 7:20 he looks really ill. That photo shoot was from late 1978 so he wasn't far off dying, he was suffering dizzy spells and black outs at the time. His loss was so cruel. His wife was in hospital having an op to try to have more children, and him telling his 'Bloomers' co-star his biggest fear was dying alone the day before he died. I don't know how Judy ever got over that.

@@Insearchofpeace-iv2lmFacts are Richard had a heart defect and was always going to die young. Morgan died of a heart attack as he suffered with high blood pressure, he died at his house after hosting a dinner party from what I remember. Those are the facts. I remember seeing the news report of his death. It was a huge shock. I believe he was starting to take more serious and dramatic roles because he wanted to move away from comedy for a while. He would have been brilliant in those roles too I am sure. Porridge is my favourite sitcom of all time so I watch Richard's work a lot. He would have been so proud of everything that Kate has achieved and rightly so. Kate, by the way, is so beautiful. WOW!

I learned nothing new about RB from this click bait video! Didn't RB have problems with hidden, high levels, of cholesterol? Thus triggering, upon his death, greater awareness in GB, for medics and the general public, of such issues and early onset heart disease. Of course there are natural ways to manage cholesterol, based around B vitamins etc and the deficiency thereof (often hidden in the west to bolster sales of Statins in their stead). My above comments? The video you should have made?! Otherwise an interesting reminder of a great man, a superb and much loved actor too - I miss him even now.

Fortunately they were both brilliantly written,so it could have been any actor to be honest.but as his character in the lovers,he had a polite innocence.& I reckon there was ad-lib in all his roles as he seemed to get on great with more famous actors, especially as barker & rossiter were stage actors.such a sad loss
