i dont think there will ever be any other source of entertainment that i've enjoyed more than watching you three do your thing over the last nearly 30 years. im only 27, i started watching you guys when i was about 15 so around 12 years ago, i think ive watched every episode of both top gear and the grand tour with you three, probably at least 5 times each. ive watched each special easily over 10 times each. there's just something about the chemistry between you three, the fact that you three have always spoken your mind without fail and without folding to outside pressure. all three of you genuinely are level headed, smart, entertaining, funny and educational which has made for the best talk show, infotainment, car enthusiast program and just best show on television or the internet of all time. i dont think there will ever be anything like it ever again, nobody alive can hold a candle to you three and the hundreds if not thousands of hours of entertainment you've given the world. im going to really miss the grand tour once the final episode airs. i hope it's not the last time i get to see you three together. as an American, you three are about the only three Brits i like. stay safe and take care.

Yes...I cant believe its coming to an end I am heartbroken and bereft. Try being me, I am the same age as Hammond, give or take a few months. And I have been watching live, right from the start on new Top Gear back in 2001. Every episode, every Sunday night without fail. And loved every second and laughed and cheered and never missed a second. I am English in the Uk, and used to watch original Top Gear and loved Clarkson when he was on there then, he was the most interesting part of the old show and always got to drive the sports cars and made the most over the top and interesting comparisons and metaphors. People watched it then just for him, it got a popularity boost and when he left it slid into obscurity vey fast. The 2001 return was an utter triumph and all three together were event tv, everyone would be talking about it for the rest of the week and loving it. The show got me through my lousy times at work and my divorce. Any time I was sad or down I would put on one of the adventures and be entertained and laugh so hard at the antics I would get a stitch. It was and is tv magic. I got Amazon just for the Grand Tour. Whatever they do I will watch it and support them all, simply because of all the pure gold tv, comedy, adventure and fun and entertainment they have given me all my life...

My favourite is still the Vietnam special from Top Gear. That might be one of my favourite pieces of television ever. You three made it magic, and there are moments in that that are clearly candid. When Jeremy walks in the first night hours behind Hammond and May, there's a moment where clearly a camera man had just grabbed a camera, and there's a glance to camera from Jeremy that was so funny, he knew he was being teased. Also later when he genuinely fell off the bike and got road rash was so painful. Any time someone said to me "It's all scripted" I'd point to that and say "not *all* of it is scripted". Also James making it to the dock with Darcy at the very end and Jeremy and Richard falling over themselves laughing. What a fantastic piece of television.

The bit with James and the dock with his piece of statue. I laughed till I cried! It was silly but so heroic. Then I started to think I had seen it somewhere before. And it came to me. The end of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! Indy is on the remains of the rope bridge and climbs up into shot, from a dangerous deadly situation. And you see his hand first then him and everyone is just glad he is alive. Then his other hand comes up with the Sankara Stone, the whole point of the adventure and he has managed to save it against all the odds. And its typical Indy, a hero moment, and funny at the same time. The shot of James coming up the dock ladder, he has made it! Then the other hand with the stone statue...its just so much like it, I wondered to this day if it was a deliberate homage rip off, or just happened that way and triggered my memory of the Indy film...

Yes, I think that is probably my favourite episode of all the specials, they are all great but that one is unique as Clarkson is out of his comfort zone with the scooter from the start and its his reaction to it and bikes in general that makes it, that and the stunning country they are in and all the various things that happen and what they see and experience. When they are in the cave and Clarkson deadpan quips that if you have just tuned into Top Gear, Britains favourite motoring show...and they are bobbing about on converted bikes in the sea in a cave and Hammond starts having hysterics...at the comment. All three make each other laugh all the time and that is just as funny as the stuff that goes on. The thing that makes it work is all three are so different, yet all of them are so skilled and so experienced and worldly in their own ways, it creates pure magic. You have to be sharp, clever and witty to come up with stuff like that, even if some of it is scripted, its not something just anyone can do, as the tv presenters and so called celebs of today are proving....
