It is not an easy thing to touch the very essence of a heart & soul. Richard Harris did so simply and beautifully.

I seen him in Camelot in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I fell in love with the movie first. I had every one of his albums, know every song until this day . My favorite album is The Yard Went on Forever. He was the best and one of a kind.

Born in 1952, Bought most of his records when it came out back then. Richard Harris did not think much of him being a singer, has he once noted in an interview. How can some believe such when being gifted with an original and intimated voice he was ? Maybe what he was referring to was his lack of presence on scene or should I say his « nonchalant » style that didn’t make him standing along the greatest showmen entertainers of his time. Regardless, his artistic signing talent will withstand the time. Merci pour votre publication sur KZbin.

He was a rebel in mind, body and soul and it showed in his unorthodox approach to music.

I was fortunate to see him in "Camelot" at the Valley Forge Music Fair in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania also when I was in my early twenties. Forty years later, I still have the ticket stubs.

Was able during my early twenties to attend a performance of Camelot in Pittsburgh, Pa. I'm very regretful I did not get to attend his other "One Man Show" type of performance. He would have sang, recite Shakespeare, etc. That must have been awesome. I seem to recall hearing someone (years ago now) saying that Harris has one of the "true vibratos". That a true vibrato changes pitch, which a lot of singers have difficulty with, who instead manage something that sounds similar to a real vibrato, but is not the real thing. I wonder now much truth there is to that? If anyone can chime in on that, that'd be great.
