Powerful, soothing, stirring, and poignant, Rodger’s captures and expresses the entire span of human emotions in this extravaganza. ❤❤❤

I recall seeing the series on TV in the 1950's I was a young boy then I would stay glued to the TV for each installment of this magnificent series. At that time there were any number of veterans from WW2 in the neighborhood. My father flew with the Mighty Eight Army Air Force, and never liked to discuss the war. A neighbor had been a Marine Officer on Tarawa and when he would drink would relive the battle over and over. i look at the country then and understand the sacrifice these men and so many more like them made for our country.I look at the youth today and am sickened at the total nonsense they spew forth. The schools are to blame as they don't teach history any longer, sadly to me it appears that so many good young men from all the armies died and suffered for nothing. Our government has let the memory of the sacrifice which was made slowly disappear. God Rest the men and woman who died for our country.

The sacrifice our forces on land, sea and air is immeasurable for what they accomplished. Their generation is dwindling and we have no idea what they gave to create the post war greatest country we enjoy today.

Thanks for posting these love them all, of course 'Beneath The Southern Cross' was given lovely words by Oscar Hammerstein II and probably became even more popular as 'No Other Love' in Rodgers & Hammerstein's vastly underated musical comedy 'Me & Juliet' in 1953, that only had it's London stage premiere in 2011!

I don’t mean to complain but I was listening to Part 1 first and the last song, one of my favorites, was cut off with a few minutes to go. I think it is called “D-Day”. Anyway, a great score that deserves a wider audience.
