I FOUND OUT. THE YAESAU IS SUPERIOR TO THE BTECH CX502 WHICH BLEW OUT IT'S FINALS. YAESU IS A BETTER MADE RADIO. HOW DO I KNOW THIS? I BOUGHT BOTH OF THEM.

I think I need another piece of equipment...(it seems to never end) Unless I'm in the car, I need a power supply for the 2mtr radio. Any suggestions on a power supply?
@RichRodgersOnline3 жыл бұрын
Robert I use a Astron 35 Am Power supply, I use it for my IC 7300 and My FT 2980. You don't need that large of power supply. You could probably speak to a ham dealer to find a good power supply to use for the radio. Thank you for watching my video!!

How does this Yaesu single band 80 watt mobile compare to the BTECH mobile BTECH Mobile UV-50X2 50 Watt Dual Band Base, Mobile Radio: 136-174mhz (VHF) 400-520mhz (UHF) Amateur (Ham) which costs about 20-30 dollars more?
@RichRodgersOnline4 жыл бұрын
Hi XXX, Thank you for watching. I really don't know anything about the BTECH. When I am looking for a new rig, I go for word of mouth and I look at reviews such as eham.net. If you live in a city, 50 watts would be all you need plus you get a extra band. I also would recommend shopping around I saved $20 by shopping around. Another thing, if you are on the road a lot (between towns), the 80 watts could help get a little more distance leaving a town or coming toward a town. One more thing. Ask other hams how active 70 cm is in your location. If it is active, then it would be nice to have a dual band transceiver. I hope this helps.

I can not get the channel "name" to show up. What I am doing wrong?
@RichRodgersOnline11 ай бұрын
Joe, It has been so long since I did this.... 4 Plus years. I would say your name can be only 6 letters and/or number but 6 total. Once you have it in there save it on the software before you transfer. Maybe that would do it???
