Agreed with what you said 100% - I did a review of one myself, about a month ago on my channel, and I thought it was an absolutely cracking bike. The motor was brilliant, the quickshifter may be the best I've used, it was so light and flickable...just an amazing bike. Also, that Carnival Red is just gorgeous.

Well done - a great bike and you are going to have loads of fun. The question is.........where are you going to take all the luggage? The Alps? Scotland?
@Omshter6626 күн бұрын
@bankruptpensioner I'm lucky enough to live just of the NC500, near the Isle of Skye. I'm planning to go to the Alps next year. I went to Ireland in that nice spell of weather in September, and on my way home, I made the decision to trade in my old trusty Vstrom and move to the next level. I needed something that could do a bit of everything, multi day tour, commute, go for an afternoon coffee, weekend camping breaks, and the Tiger 900 GT Pro ticked all the boxes. Weight, height, superb spec, fuel consumption, etc, it's quite a motorcycle. I'm 58 now, so I felt that the weight and height played a very important part in my choice.

I've got the 2023 bike in blue and love it. I must say the red looks terrific though, I really like that. I filter 200 miles in and out of london every week and no problem. The only thing you have to watch for is the mirrors is they are the same hight as vans and SUV's.
@bankruptpensioner27 күн бұрын
Hi Chip, mine was the blue one as well and a lovely colour. The tiger is a great bike and it just gets better as you ride it more. Yes, this red one looks great too. Good point regarding filter and you're right regarding the SUVs and fans in the mirrors👍

With all these Triumph dealerships going bust, how safe is Triumph Staffordshire?
@bankruptpensioner27 күн бұрын
Good question Dom, and I asked the same question to Staffordshire Triumph. Of which they assured me their business along with the Honda dealership were in good position. They are not asking for excessive deposits or anything like that upon the purchase of any Motorcycle just the typical deposit and you deal with the remainder on the day of pick up or delivery. I don't understand your concerns and this is why I asked the question with Staffordshire Triumph.👍

Paying for the Triumph name Richard and when you compare it to the latest CF Moto and Vogue models it looks very expensive. As you know I'm not a tec guy so all these whistle's and flutes leave me cold.

There is a very clear reason these brands are cheaper. Buy cheap, buy twice !
@bankruptpensioner27 күн бұрын
It's a good point Ian, however you do pay for brand. I agree that the new Chinese motorcycle manufacturers are very competitive however if we look at the past it's the difference between an Audi and a Kia. That said Kia's are just as expensive as Audi's now. Good point though.👍

Nice bike. It needs servicing though. Spanner flashing. If it hasn’t had its 600 mile service could be a problem with warranty.

Hi Chris, yes, the service has been completed but I think the service schedule has buggered up in the computer - battery disconnect or something like that. Easy reset 👍 and history with this bike 👍

I used to think adventure bikes were the thing for touring but now having done two tours on my Thunderbird my GS is now redundant. I have no interest in all the tech I want my motorcycles to be simple. I have no idea why anyone would need a quick shifter on anything but a track it seems such a pointless thing to me.
@bankruptpensioner26 күн бұрын
I sort of understand the move to the thunderbird, a wonderful bike and i struggle to understand why is is not being made anymore. I have riden a couple of bikes with quick shifters, and I thought the same as you. Why would you want this function unless on a track? However, I am getting used to the idea on the road, especially going down the box. I could get used to it especially at low revs

Had my 2024 model for a few months now. Mostly pretty good. Complaints: Seat is too hard after 300km bum very sore and headlight is a waste of time when riding at night on roo roads. Thats about all I have a problem with. Will see if the seat breaks in othewise will replace or get reupholsted. Will get spotlights fitted as there is no way to improve globes. Quite disappointed for the quality and price of an otherwise nice bike.
@bankruptpensioner16 күн бұрын
Hi Glen, yeah I suppose you're right with the headlights. The light that the LEDs project is an interesting kind of light, it's not like the normal halogen light. I think the throw goes far enough but it's not like white light it's something else. I found the seat to be fine but I guess after 300 km any seat would feel a bit sore. I suspect the Spotlight will work a treat and I never thought of that.
