Yes mr Dawkins, thank you for your long winded stream of endless stacks of conjectures, stacked on top of old conjectures! When will you ever give the world actual science, instead of conjectural science. Not even God is based on such flimsy trash like what you spew out on a daily basis, without ONE specific fact to support any of it, according to the scientific method. .

The old angry Dawkins is "barking mad" on the opposing side of Christianity, mostly because he never had enough interest to take the necessary time to delve into its astounding tenets. So, people commonly reject things out of ignorance, as does Dawkins, but such decision is based on free volitional choice. A minority (35%-40%) of scientists know many absolutes of God, which are available to all, including Dawkins, but it requires a desire to know such things. .

@david77james
@david77james 4 жыл бұрын
@@bubbercakes528 - That's simply because you are not looking to denigrate his stacks of conjectures, while you ARE looking to denigrate claims about God. For example, if you understood basic science, and knew how to do critical analysis of claims, you'd listen to such as this 4 minute video, wherein he gives a list of conjectures (guesses) that the audience claps over, AS IF they are based on science, BUT they are not, even after all the decades this clown has been "teaching his preposterous unproven claims" - Listen closely, and tell us how many FACTS you hear him state, which include: "something like a ..... PROBABLY evolved from....., etc" : kzbin.info/www/bejne/b57LiWWBlthoa5o .

Atheists, including Richard Dawkins, will be the first to tell you that no one can prove god does not exist. However, through science we can show that almost all of religions claims about our universe have been proven false. You cannot with good conscience say Dawkins is a fraud while every teligious man incliding Jesus has been proved to be fully fraudulent.

Since Hitchens died (peace upon his soul), Dawkins became my new hero, he is 'THE MAN' in today's atheist movements. 20:00 dawkins might say this, but my understanding is that flew was advancing in years and was surrounded by believers trying to convince him to convert, and sadly his mind was in a state that he would just go along with the last thing anyone said to him, i love the way "moral" believers not only misrepresent dawkins debate (i watched it on video) but then not only lie about flew, but after trying to fuddle the guy into saying he had converted. religion deserves no respect at all, lennox isn't misunderstanding, he's lying. 31:00 i'm with you mr dawkins, mathematically yes, there *must* be more life, realistically, i don't see why we can't be unique, when you consider that there are numerous subtleties that made life possible on this planet, then i think it is possible that we are the only "self aware" life in the entire universe, intelligence itself might be unique for all we know, life might be on every planet, but basic. not a popular idea i know, but until we can talk with other beings it's an incentive to survive and get out into the universe asap. imagine the wealth to be had if we *are* the only ones....

Many Muslims would argue that this passage refers to the duty of husbands to protect their wives, but there are two points. One, it is worded very strongly, and two, if religion was compatible with human nature, it would know that humans naturally like to be somewhat authoritarian. Afterwards, it says that wives must be "devoutly obedient". Meaning, they have to do their husband's will, whether they like it or not. This and similar injustices in other religions was the first step in my atheism.

Indeed, I agree lets worship the sun as it can always be counted on to be there and not try and control us pitiful little humans. While we are at it, why not stop worshiping the almighty dollar and of course the various soul sucking religions and just try to better ourselves with knowledge that is scientific based and concentrate on treating humans and our planet with more respect. In other words, why not act like responsible adults and use our brains instead of being lazy and following what is the easiest path? We really don't need any kind of religion to give us rules to live by or morals that should be taught by again...responsible adults that are grounded in reality.

"Oh mighty magical man in the sky, I'm sorry for being human, exactly how you created me without my species having any say in it, then putting you to the trouble of punishing us for faults that reflect your own since we're apparently created in your image!" - Generic prayer
@2fast2block
@2fast2block 4 жыл бұрын
Come on, here's your real prayer. The atheist prayer to their god of nothing. "Oh, god of nothing, we deny you exist, and you don't, but we have no choice to declare you our true god if we're honest, but we're not. Please god of nothing, help us to continually grow in offering no science to support you because there is none, but nonetheless, we devote our lives to you and will do the best act we can, no matter how pathetic, no matter how embarrassing, no matter how much evidence is against us, we will use the various tactics to deny the CLEAR science against us like our biggies: ---"god-of-the-gaps", ---"invincible man in the sky", "sky daddy", etc. ---"we don't know yet but science is working on it"---"no reputable scientists believe that"---"religion vs science"---"the bible says...."---"creationist/creatard"---"people used to believe the flat earth"---"that's not part of evolution"---"atheism is not a belief"---"burden of proof is on you"---"religion causes most wars"---"I used to be a Christain" "We praise you god of nothing for such phrases (and whatever else we can make up) that answer nothing, but you gave us these word farts to help us deflect what we refuse to face because all us are really stupid wimps and don't want to think, we want to be lazy and act as if we're smart, all thanks to our god of nothing that makes us all a worthless nothing yet we still think somehow we're really something from our brains that came from the god of nothing all by random chance from chaos we evolved from."

2. It is assumed that the system contained none of its “daughter” components. Again in the case of uranium it is assumed that there was no lead to begin with which made up the rock. First of all how do you know that? Were you there when the decay process started? Did you see that there was absolutely no lead in the rock to begin with? How do you know how much uranium has decayed into lead? 3. It is assumed that the decay rate must have been the same continually. However we know from laboratory experiments and the natural world that decay rates can change and be influenced by environmental conditions such as the earth’s weakening magnetic field. Therefore the concept of a constant decay rate without fluctuation is simply not true. 4. It is impossible to say that sample radioactive rocks used for dating have not had any natural contamination and that any other elements producing the same “daughter” elements could not have been initially present but have now disappeared without trace. This simply shows why all radio metric dating processes don’t work! Let me explain further: In the case of for instance the decay of uranium 238 into lead 206 there are 13 intermediate products which are produced and all of them are radioactive. So obviously if you start with thorium and polonium and so forth, these are all radioactive materials which are produced by the decay of uranium into lead. There are actually 14 different elements that radioactively decay to finally produce lead! If any of the other elements were created in the rock they would have decayed so quickly you wouldn’t even know they were there! All you saw was the lead, so you assume that the lead only came from uranium; this is a false assumption because the lead could have come from other radioactive materials that were created in the rock and yet by nature leave no trace of their existence.

>if you turn around 360 degrees it would look more like a rectangle than a circle which would give an appearance that the earth is flat not round Otherwise people wouldnt have believed that the the world was flat in the first place. So you consider a pita bread round and not flat, despite it often being called "flat bread"? Thinking the horizon was rectangular assumes that some of the horizon was further away at some places than others in a precise pattern rather than being the same distance.

AND SO, as Richard Dawkins explains here, for now I am an atheist amongst those that oppose knowledge, learning and basic truths... ...and, like Steven Hawking, a 'non-theist' amongst the like-minded. Richard Dawkins is correct, we MUST fight. Or, as Carl Sagan so eloquently relates, we, like Hypatia, 1700 years ago... ...are consumed. Our works obliterated by those that oppose the beauty of science. "We MUST not let it happen again."

„Where is everybody?“ Well, we didn‘t really come that far around in the Universe, and since life is believed to be so improbable, while not even considering the probability of that life evolving as long as it did on earth (there can always happen something that destroys all progress towards more complex life forms on a planet in seconds), the probability to find a second planet with very complex lifeforms in our ‚planetary neighbourhood‘ is even lower. Due to the Universe being so big, we will probably have to go WAY further from our ‚home‘ than we can at the moment to find such a thing.

@retroguy02 You missed my point. It doesn't matter what their profession was, the fact is we don't listen to Beethoven because HE wrote it, we listen to it because it's incredible. The same with Darwin, we don't give a shit who he was. It's all about his works.

The definition of life is for life as we see it today. If we're talking about 3-4 billion years ago, then we're going to need a definition for what constitutes for life for then.

Agree. At the same time I prefer to puzzle myself with questions for which answer could be obtained in the future with use of science. This way appeals to me much stronger than resting on the chosen figment of imagination for which there is no evidence at all, that is religion.

as for "where is everbody": considering earth is over 4 billion year old yet only had life for a fraction of its age. It may be that the universe is too young to have a lot of civilizations in it and it may be that we are some of the universes "first born". another theory is that faster than light travel may be completely impossible and so all life that evolves in the universe will be stuck in its little corner of it and that we haven't been able to detect their radio transmissions so far.

Thank you TanikAyanna. While I wouldn't declare all of Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and so on corrupt without knowing more than I do about each, I am certain that there are corrupted versions/types of each around today (some of these are quite scary too). In relation to what you're trying to explain let me say it is a good thing to be able to look around and ask where is or where could this be headed. The ability to do so may end up serving you well at some point.
