2 years ago I was watching TV and I fell asleep watching it .Something made me open my eyes suddenly and there staring at me was a young lad .It was the middle of the day and there was no cold chill etc etc He was about 12 or 13 years of age and he looked as solid as you and I .He was dressed in light blue pyjamas and looking like he had just got out of bed ,his back was to the stairs door and I could no longer see the light switch ,nothing on his feet .He looked for all the world like someone who lived with me and my 40 year old son Except I didn't know him from Adam .As soon as I blinked he had gone .If someone had entered the room they would have asked who is that ? And apart from raising 3 boys of my own I have led a normal life .I am now 82 years of age .Nothing has happened before that day and nothing since .but I will never forget and I wonder who he was .He looked as real as you and I ..My home was built in 1899/1901 .

@moose this isn't the kind of question my mother encouraged me to ask but I wondering if you ever had a miscarriage (like my mum did before I was born). Either way, it's notable that there was no fear or chill, hopefully that means no torment or discomfort anywhere. I liked your story - someone wanted you to notice them - which you have.

When my mum was a little girl the bungalow where she was brought up was built over the top of where a monastery had once stood. My mum saw a monk come up from the floor and walk round her bed,she called to my grandmother for help but herself was pinned to the wall by a ghost. My grandfather saw half a horse disappear into someone’s home.on the same street. Thank you for your stories Richard and merry Christmas to you and yours.! xx

Here in the alpine region of Bavaria, we have the same tradition of telling ghost stories. Is it any wonder when the winds are rattling shutters and rafters, when floorboards were creaking as temperatures were not stable in the houses only a hundred years ago and for centuries before. People kept hearing and "seeing" things that were or were not what they thought. Each generation had been told eerie stories by their grandparents and it all came together nicely to folklore and traditions... I'm in my 60s now and remember well winter/Christmass/New Year's Eve in an old house in a wee village in the rural Bavarian alpine region. Granny was one heck of a story teller. She scared the ... out of us kids. I'm smiling while typing away... wish I could watch granny's face and listen to her voice only once more telling me a story that gives me goosebumps. We all love the comfort of our modern world with smarthomes where there's no noise unless we make it, where it's cosy and warm without a draft... and yet, there are still ghosts in this world, are there not. Do I miss the old times? Yes, I do but perhaps that's what comes with old age. Still, sitting by the wood stove with only candles lighting the room, watching and listening to the fire, sipping hot chocolate or tea, enjoying a good ghost story while the wind is chasing around the house causing all kind of noise... yes, I definitely would love that right now.

Bavaria ? Can I visit ?
@sassandsavvy0078 күн бұрын
@@ceasarwright7567 I take it you'd like it here since so many visitors enjoy their time in our region, every year. Just don't expect Bavaria to be something like Disneyland. :). Pity I can't add a photo but there are countless pics on google. Search Lake Tegernsee, Lake Königsee, Berchdesgadener Land, if you try Perchten, you'll get pics of the "ghosts of our legends". They are still roaming village streets in the dark in November/December/January. Google Perchtenlauf Kirchseon and you'll find lots of pics. Have fun browsing. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🙋🏻♀

Hello Richard, I was born in Liverpool in 1962. We lived in an old house on Dock road. We had a Young Border Collie that would occasionally bark at the stairs. One day my mum was pushed down those stairs. We do not not why or who it was. But we had a spirit in that home. We were never hurt except mum.

I had lived in a haunted house and was asked by more than one person how i could stay....things flew across the room, cold spots, weird noises, venetian blinds lifting away from windows and hanging in midair, shadow people etc...my response was "i have a mortgage".... I'm staying. I did leave a few years later due to the break up of me and my now ex, but offered to be the one who stayed....it was the only house on the street not burglarized at that time, i figured it was a good anti-burglary thing.

I grew up in Bestwood Park. We used to have family Christmas meals in the Chapel at Bestwood Lodge Hotel, my Grandma also used to work there in the 70s. One day her supervisor saw the ghost of Nell Gwyn and his hair turned white overnight. Also, I had a friend who worked as a handyman there and he was in one of the bedrooms on his own when he heard a growl right in his ear hole. He left not long after.

In 1966 and 1967, I lived in a 600 year old house in Essex, England. My dad was in the military, and he was stationed there for 2 years. I was only 3 and 4, so I didn't really understand ghosts, but I had SOOOO many experiences with ghosts there. They were not nice ghosts!! It is something I remember to this day. I'm 61 now. But I loved living in England. It was a beautiful country and the people were so nice!! I lived at a place called Rotten End Farmhouse. It was a huge, gorgeous old house! Anyway, thanks for these stories!!

Merry Christmas, Richard Felix. It has been many years since I went on one of your ghost walks in Derby. I left Derby 20 years ago. The tavern in St Peters was that the Green Man? l lived and worked there when it was the biker pub. I spent many weekends camping I the grounds of Tutbury Castle, and the only time anything happened was sat outside the tent, one night, and a ghostly howl was heard. The only thing about that it was it sounded suspiciously like Barry, the curator at the time. Have a good new year.
@elizabethhaggis1926 Жыл бұрын
You asked an interesting question, Richard. Are ghosts real, or are they in our head? More than 40 years ago, when I was in my 20s and so always slept through the night without interruption, I was alone as my husband was away. I awoke suddenly to find a red-headed young man, wearing a blue open-collared aertex top, standing next to my bed a few feet away, looking down at me. His expression was almost tender. Startled, I sat up and scooted backwards across the bed. He stayed there a few beats more, then he turned away and, as he turned, he faded away. I called the dog in but she turned tail at the door and fled. After I had calmed down, I realised I wasn’t frightened. The reason for my question is that I have been very short-sighted since childhood. Without my glasses I can only see clearly for a few inches then everything becomes blurred. But I could see him in detail without them. I have had a number of supernatural experiences but that is the only time I have (knowingly) seen what I believe to be a ghost. I love your videos.

Your so calming and interesting Richard, I listen to you in bed and I relax, nice not to have people run around screaming every time they hear a tap or floor board creak, you have a genuine love for what you do and do and it for that and not the fame or attention ♥️

In 1957, when I was 8, my parents moved our family into a home they bought from an eldery woman. This woman had lost her daughter to tuberculosis sometime in the 1940s, and she died in her bedroom, which was now occupied by my brothers but I did not learn of this until I was older. One night, something woke me up, and as I opened my eyes, I saw a woman standing at the foot of my bed just staring at me. Her dress was old-fashioned with padded shoulders, and her hair was in the style of the 1940s. (I realized this after I was older). She appeared solid, and I tried to call out to my mother, but I was so frightened I couldn’t make a sound. I just lay frozen with a pounding heart until she gradually faded away. Even though I was so young, I never forgot it, and the memory of it is as clear as if it happened yesterday.

I was yanked from the feet outve my bed after shortly moving into a new whare.(home) My daughter told me of her experience when i was out one night. A dark figure in her door way. Me apparently. Lost count of how many times I have watched this Richard I agree with you we do not see Christmas Ghost Stories on TV so much these days. Really enjoyed this and other videos you have posted on your channel. I am very much into the Paranormal and Ghosts too like you. I used to work in hotel located on the South Coast My role was a Night Porter and although the Management said the hotel was not haunted I can tell you for a fact it was. Mainly in the Bar area, I used to see Orbs on the CCTV Monitor in the bar on a regular basis so much so that I captured some footage of the monitor on My phone one night. What impressed Me was the fact that the CCTV monitor was in the office in the back of the reception area which was know where near the bar. I sat and called out to and asked if they could show me more and they did. That is when I started to film I would love to share the footage with you Richard as these Orbs responded to My voice and requests. One thing I can say is that I was never frightened in the slightest.

I smiled when you described going though the Radio Times looking for ghost stories. I do exactly the same thing every year and mark anything I want to watch, listen to or record. Some years the result of my eager search is rather disappointing, but there are plenty of dramas and stories available now on various platforms now. There is nothing quite like the frisson of anticipation felt on seeing that a new or favourite ghost story is going to be broadcast though. I live in hope...

That was so interesting as we’ve just spent a few days in a 15thC thatched cottage with our family over Xmas. The children loved it and I loved it as it had such a happy feeling about it but one of the dogs kept barking at the wall and it wouldn’t stop. Above his head was a very old photo of an old woman standing outside the door. She had obviously lived there so I wondered whether there was any connection.
