Please spare a thought for…Gwen ferch Ellis….(ferch’ meaning daughter of in Welsh) who was the first person to be accused and executed for Witchcraft in Wales. She was hung in Denbigh Town Square in 1594 .. this poor lady is seldom mentioned 😢 A brilliant video as always, and full of historical information ❤️🐾

Great video Richard, a friend of mine whose name was Robert Nutter was a family relative of Alice Nutter. What was passed down in the family, she was a herbalist & prescribed a remedy for a man, who consequently passed away. As she was friends with Demdike she was implicated because she was wealthy & had a lot of land that the authorities tried to buy from her,but she would not accept their offer.

Great history, Richard. In my country, USA, we are seeing history repeating itself with religious extremism, labeling people who are "different" as "evil and demonic". So sad that the self inflicted fears of some can cruelly impact others. Think of all the innocent people who have been persecuted for centuries because of religious intolerance and it doesn't seem to go away. Unfortunately, for all of us, the Puritans who came here brought their intolerance with them. Thus the Salem Whitch trials. Don't you think that the energy of trauma still lives on in places where these things happened but the actual people have gone on. long ago?

Fascinating video! Been to Lichfield and the Cathedral many times. Knew about the last heretic being burned at the stake in Britain there...but it was lovely seeing the market square and inside the cathedral again. Thank you for your incredible research . I'm a person with strong scottish heritage, who comes from a family for whom the first born has usually got "the ken". our family members (male and female) receive messages from ancestors regarding which plants to use for our families health, and messages from telluric forces who form storms and fires etc telling where they are headed and who will be in danger. And we are allies with the "Others" or "the cousins" , the faerie populations who live in cities in the hills who depend on environmental intricacy(which is disappearing) to thrive. It's a challenging role to embody in this day and age, quite frightening sometimes (having a conversation with a cyclone on the astral plane is stressful to say the least.) Anyway, it makes me so sad that many people who did not have our gifts were hanged and burned in our name. We are still here. (and so are the puritans , its seems, who scare me the most).

Most Haunted is close to my heart. Around 15 yrs ago, my daughter was a young baby, me and my wife would stay up late and watch the 24 hour live shows they did at various locations, up making bottles in the early hours and no sleep etc, but watching the most haunted series. My wife was always a bit irritated by Richard as she thought he just be believed everything because he wanted to believe it. Some of the shows were good and compelling on reflection. Shame about how it lost what credibility it had with the investigations that showed they they allegedly faked /exaggerated some ‘evidence’ we did lose some interest after that.

As I’ve always said whether it’s the paranormal, supernatural , or ufo etc. I’m on,y arsed if one of the many millions are telling the truth or not mistaken. That’s all it needs. I’m am a believer but I’m also a a believer that 99.9% of claims are false in some way. (Eg pure lies, mistaken, natural scientific explanation, mislead, hearsay, etc). But as I say it only takes one person to not be lying or mistaken in some way.

I am Scottish with Pendle ancestry among it. I do have spiritual gifts. Never been to the Pendle area but i want to since my 3 times great grandad is buried in Colne.

I’m the same . Great grandma born in Pendle village. Ancestors in Pendle going back to mid 1600s. This year I took a class on the history of European witchcraft, fascinating. I have a wooden witch on my door , to honour my ancestry. Love Felix since most haunted days . Have had many paranormal experiences myself !

@@alisonhall4465 i have been asked before if i am a witch and some were scared of me as they felt i would put spells on them. Been told i would have been killed for it back in those days. I would rather have these gifts and being able to see what some can’t, than not have them. I will hopefully visit one day but have to try to find if my ancestor has a headstone. Carry Bridge was where they lived but the old houses are gone or empty now. Tracing that side only takes me to the early 19th Century though which is a shame.

@@alisonhall4465 i wish it had been possible to have taken videos of some of what i have seen and heard outwith my inner abilities. I am glad your brother and you understand its real. I have also seen objects move in front of me and heard them moving or being switched on in another room. Seen the effects of them moving too afterwards in one case. Had a door slammed shut downstairs when i was viewing a house for rent (no windows open) and the lettings agent went downstairs to it saying “hello”, as well as sightings. Outwith my mediumship.

One of the Pendle witches was tried and hanged at York as she lived in Gisburn which was in Yorkshire until the county border was changed in the 1970s.
