realising we will never build cars as beautiful as these ever again, brings tears to the eyes
@meltdown61652 ай бұрын
Maybe we can go back to these looks with advanced safety features and materials so they can pass pedestrian saftety standards (and tweak those standards accordingly to allow for this)?

@@meltdown6165 nice idea, Fiat managed it with the 500, just finished a 17yr production run. There has to be mileage it creating beauty surely

Jaw dropping elegance. It's hard to pick a favorite, but of course we all love the big front-engine V12 cars like the Super America. Just classy. I love as well the P cars. Those swoopy bodies all made in metal, wow. I hope the art of panel beating never completely dies, it would be a shame. Even the similar Porsche race cars of the day were in fiberglass. But of course, Ferrari and Pinninfarina would spare no expense, even for race cars. Thanks for the great coverage. I've never seen such a collection of Ferraris in one shot. There's no amount of superlatives that can describe such a field. It's hard not to be terribly envious, but at least we get to see , and occasionally hear these beauties.

I like the pace and narration, and you don't pan too fast. The one time I attended Pebble and the Historics at Laguna, had a headache from sensory overload.

I find it interesting that at 1:26 the door handle on the gold car is the same that you would find on a 1956-1964 Alfa Sprint. Window winders and interior door pulls are probably the same too. I had two of those Sprints, it warms my heart to think I was so close, so very close, to having a Ferrari.

Nice video. The first red California spyder at about 25:53 appears to be a LWB, based on the hood scoop and the taillights.

Great coverage as usual Richard. The Ferrari Super Fast 2 was amazing but I thought the rear end styling was an E Type Jag copy. Didn't Enzo say the E Type Jag was the most beautiful sports car of the day? Imitation is the highest form of flattery as the saying goes.

Capitalism has absolutely destroyed the automobile... GM largely led the destruction, but others essentially had to follow. Why produce something that lasts? Why produce something of beauty? It is the antithesis of Capitalism. So it's over for the masses. Become a Centimillionaire or Billionaire and you can still find design, or go for a $35 Million Ferrari... or a $100 Million 250 GTO...
