I’m having a wheel obstacle notice and there is nothing in there so looked for a video and found yours so I can try myself since it’s one month past one year ugg. So the only hope I have left is if there is something literally behind the wheel cover part so fingers crossed I can do on mine I have the shark self empty xl thanks for the cideo

I'm shocked at how easily you got the pin out. Mine is stuck and I've been trying to get it out with taps using a punch and hammer and it's not budging. Not even a little.

I think that must be it. I've even made indentations in the pin trying to tap it out. I think the plastic will give before this thing budges.@@richardsvacuumcenter

This is extremely helpful (though, I haven't completely followed it yet). The only T-15 driver I have won't fit (not long enough or skinny enough due to the handle), so I'm going by Auto Zone to pick one up later today. My T-8 should be fine as I'm not expected such long drops to access those screws. Anyway, and in advance, thank you! Between my hair and that of my 3 dogs... I regular take apart and clean the robot vac. But the wheel's barely moving now, so I know this is the next step in figuring out a solution. Appreciate the help!

Oh, man... what a day trying to get this done! I picked up the T-15 screw driver from Auto Zone, all to get home, try to use it, and realize someone slid a T-20 into a T-15 tag/holder (sigh). That store was completely out, so I ended up at another location where they let me swap it out for the correct size. Great! But then I got all the way inside the box with the gears when I realized I didn't have that "separator tool" that you mentioned. So, I Googled it and quickly discovered what snap ring pliers were. Found out the Walmart up the street has one for a few bucks. Cheap, but I was still hopeful. Then I get home and try to use them only to find out the pins aren't small enough for the holes on that clip. Now, I'm exhausted and feeling a bit defeated, so I shall return to my research tomorrow and see if they make snap ring pliers with smaller pins...? That I can, hopefully, get soon! I still appreciate your video very much. It's been most helpful, and I'm one step closer!

Hello there ! Just found your chanel due that our shark robotic vacuum has its right wheel stuck . I took it apart but to my surprise everything looked normal all clean greased although everything spins freely on itself once you put the last gear connecting the motor it is heavy to make it spin . Any ideas? It is a model# UR1105ARUS. MANY THANKS !! Good day to you!

Perhaps the motor has failed? Hard to say without being able to inspect it myself. You may try replacing the wheel assembly. eBay has been a source for finding functioning parts for these models. Good luck!

Another person on here had the same issue I did. Took it apart and everything looked clean and when you remove a gear, the wheel turns freely. I was able to narrow it down to the motor. I think what I might do is buy an Amazon warehouse deal same model as mine. Use one or the other for parts. I haven't been happy with this model considering its cost and I've only had it a little over a year. Of course, now it is out of warranty.

Can you tell me what the name of that separator tool is, and where I can buy one? I've tried googling it, and I'm not coming up with something that looks like what you're using. My Shark took a detour through pet poop, and I need to get the wheels cleaned out thoroughly. :/

You forgot the encoder and the detector at the wheelmotor... 🤔 Often the reason... I'll check mine tomorrow...

There could be hairs blocking the encoder signal. It all seemed to be fine. But still it did'nt function. Gears okay - no extra friction. Something else must be defective. It is a "Lydsto r1" but i cannot find the wheel units for them as a sparepart... 😢 Searching.........
