I'm a Bills fan, but Rich is right. Until we beat KC in the playoffs, the Bills aren't "THE" Super Bowl favorites. Anyone in the media saying that is just trying to get conversation going or trying to manifest it into existence.

@aethere4l15 сағат бұрын
I agree that the Bills shouldn't be the favorites because the AFC (I think) has a more difficult road to the playoffs. The Bills, Chiefs, Ravens, and Steelers (if Watt is healthy) will have tougher matchups than the Eagles or Lions. I do think Buffalo's defense is getting too much heat. Yes, the Rams game was horrendous. But in the Lions game, it was 35-14 and ESPN showed a 98% win probability for the Bills at 18 minutes remaining in the game. The Bills, for better or worse, switch to their garbage-time prevent defense and surrender the middle of the field, with the thought being the Lions can score just not quickly and the lead will prove insurmountable. At no point did the win probability for the Bills drop below 92.5%. Even Goff referenced how those last few TDs were scored in garbage-time. Personally I think Bills pulled out the garbage time defense out a drive or 2 too early, but that's on McDermott and Babich, but the defense did what they were asked to do and the 42 points isn't the right way to measure them, imo.

It's funny because Rich is objectively incorrect here. They ARE the FAVORITE. Talking heads and KZbin commentors don't run sportsbooks, so you don't get to play this game. And when people try, they only reveal bias. Rich respects the Bills, but as an AFC East fan, he can't spit out the facts. You're a scarred fan, who can't forget the past and are haunted by it, despite it being irrelevant to the future. Sportsbooks are simply the smartest and best informed sports minds on the planet who spend all their time getting these numbers right, so they don't lose billions of dollars. They NEVER lose billions of dollars. Stop flying in the face of verifiable fact, when it spites your team. That's weird, dude.
@tarontagosh112716 сағат бұрын
My counter to the Cowboy's playing lights out "for McCarthy" is they weren't playing for him. They were playing for themselves and their futures. Dowdle is trying to get huge numbers in hopes of having a job next year. The same is said for most players of the Cowboys and other teams with losing records. The good play isn't because of McCarthy but in spite of him. On the other hand as a Commanders fan I'd love to see Jerry extend McCarthy.

As a Seattle fan. Geno Smith potentially having lead us to 3 winning seasons after being left for dead under 2 head coaches with some admittedly not amazing teams should be respected for what it is. When he's on, he's as dangerous as any in the sport. He can be beautifully accurate in the intermediate game. But he's peaked as a passer I feel. His recklessness at times with the football is something that cannot be explained away as an offensive line specific issue and he's become a liability in the red zone. He's too conservative at times, and too risky at others. He's a very good bridge, which is what he always was, for the post Wilson era as we rebuild the team finally under Macdonald. But he is not a guy who can lead you to a Lombardi. He is too hot/cold for that. Sam Howell is the current back up, and has shown enough I think to keep him on the roster. I'm not in love with Sam Darnold if he leaves Minnesota, I think it's be effectively trading Geno old out for Geno young(er) because Sam still makes the occasional mistakes on a weekly basis he has made since he was a rookie with the Jets. And we don't have the team to currently offset that (like Minnesota does) for a way higher cost then what Geno currently is. I'd say stick with Sam, draft or bring in another guy on the cheap and let them battle it out for a year and reevaluate the team then. Because we tend to forget, a lot of this team still has Pete Carrolls fingerprints. We need another year of Mike getting "his guys" to see the plan there.

Wins are not a QB stat. If you want to talk numbers, Allen led the league in yards and touchdowns last year with the same turnover worthy playbrate last year as this year and the least EPA lost to turnovers while Lamar wasn't anywhere near those numbers yet won the MVP.

Dk is just acting as a a decoy right now. Most of JSN's catches came because DK was double teamed which left JSN wide open. DK would celebrate as if he caught the ball as well. I think he will break out again as soon as a team decides not to focus solely on him.

Ewers is a lousy college quarterback. I can't imagine any team in the NFL dumb enough to draft him high. Going to UNC and trying to get better, makes sense. Whatever is going on with him at Texas isn't working for him. Going to the NFL before you are ready never works out well. Ewers is clearly not ready.

2024 Bills remind me of the 2018 Chiefs. Elite QB play and scoring ability combined with a few sneaky good players on an otherwise, very fallible defense. It would be interesting to see if the 2024 Chiefs can play the role of the 2018 Patriots, in this year's AFC Championship Game.
