It was like a boxing match between a boxer and a brawler where the boxer wanted to prove he can brawl. That playcalling was a direct result of OSU not only wanting to beat Michigan, but win in the way Michigan beat them the previous three years. It was dumb, and probably the most damaging aspect of the loss on Ryan Day's reputation. Yes, the man is 66-10 with 4 losses by more than one score, and very well could still win the national title this year. On the other hand, he messed around and lost one that should have never been in doubt.

Seriously I can’t think of any other city or fan base that does something like this. I live in Indianapolis (an hour north of Bloomington) and while Indiana-Purdue may not be anything super crazy big of a rivalry, that would be the equivalent of Hoosier fans crossing out the P everywhere in Bloomington.

A historic win for the winningest team in NCAA history. 3 touchdown underdogs, a 6 and 5 season record, having to play in the snakepit that is Colombus Ohio against the #2 team in the country. Don't want to hear about flag planting, when they have done that to us many times in my 70 years. I was at Michigan in 1973 when the Bucks charged out of the tunnel and tore down our M club banner and started a fight at the beginning of the game. Buck Fuckeyes, Go Blue!!!

As a BYU fan, we have a good rivalry with Utah. Obviously no other rivalry matches this one, but I love to hear the rivalry banter. It's what makes college sports so great!

UM folks need to enjoy every minute Ryan Day is head coach at OSU. He is the universe's gift to them and what appears to be 'coaching malpractice' on his part is the stuff of legend. John Cooper lives again! 😄

Gus Johnson also needs to go. No f'n way that dude should be allowed to call games with the amount of bias he's shown over the last 4 years.

What, are you talkin' the World Famous THEE Ohio State?? I hate that guy. He's so overrated

Gus is too much a screamer for my liking. His voice cracked several times which I found annoying.
@otaviofrnazario2 сағат бұрын
Gus has his moments of greatness, but he needs to hear about his bias. Fox holds the rights to the Big 10, not Ohio State. And they get the Championship Game in 4 out of the 7 years in this contract. The Big 10 has other big teams and some on the rise

Agree with all of this, but can we shift this “OSU blew it” narrative and give Michigan some credit for outplaying and outcoaching these goons? Wolverines earned this. You could see it in their eyes, you could see it on the sidelines, they believed in themselves and they wanted it more! By the 4th quarter OSU looked completely shook, they thought they were owed this game and had no idea what to do when the Wolverines refused to back down from the big bad Buckeyes. Outcoached, outplayed, tougher, grittier, and took what was ours.

Michigan should use their remaining NIL funds to make sure Ryan Day remains the head coach at Ohio State.
