Julie’s contributions to the conversations on the show and in the world is a breath of fresh air…I enjoy her point of view not just as a woman but as a human being…it’s so needed. And the courage it takes to go deep, in public, on camera, with another human being, is inspiring. She’s definitely my favorite guest 😊

These are the dialogs that people in relationships need to hear. My husband and I were married for 50 years when he passed. We were very different but experienced the great love, experiences and humor that is possible in a long marriage. We supported each other and allowed independence and grace always.

I'm like your honesty Rich in how you authentically have a difficulty digesting some of the concepts! and it coming from your wife of 20 years let's me know I shouldn't be too hard on myself if I'm struggling to move the needle on some more spiritual stuff that my partner says comes so naturally to her, clearly it takes time! I think my life experiences (and traumas) have me grounded in a pretty constant state of vigilance against things that could potentially corrupt my mind or seem to go against what is probably the ego

I've been a fan of Rich Roll for a long time. Oddly enough, I recognize his voice more than his looks. I never knew his wife. Though there are several critics here, I can tell from this interview they have been through a lot in life: 20 years of ebbs and flow, ups and down, pains and blessings. Through and though, they have clearly accepted and respect each other for who each are as individuals. Though different than main stream people, they offer an alternative ways of being. I appreciate what they are sharing here.

Listening to Julie’s expressions for the potential of change, in the future, towards a positive direction I will embrace, with guarded optimism. I felt that the last few years have been a tearing at the fabric of humanity. It was a scary extended period of time and I worried because who knew what the actual bottom was going to be, and when would we hit it. Today I woke up with clarity on how to move forward through such darkness. I found strength without the need to exert it in the wrong way. Graciousness is never wrong. There’s so much strength in confidence. It’s refreshing to hear something beautiful that offers a glimmer of hope for humanity.

Thanks for sharing, many spiritual teachers I follow talk about this big shift we are going through or the potential is there, it's up to each person to chose going up or down with it. It's like we are repeating 1000 of years of same patterns of ego and conflict. To me I feel we need to become more conscious and heal trauma / shadow, so many acts from wounding and hurt on auto pilot creating more pain and suffering. Everything starts with our self , one step at a time . 😊🙏✨️

@@larsstougaard7097 I have also stumbled towards the need to heal trauma through inner child work. Fascinating subject with amazing videos on KZbin. I hope we can get as many people as possible through this next period of tumultuous time. So much ego posturing it’s nauseating. But alas, we shall remain in hope always.

@@micheleagren1604 Lorie Ladd has many great videos on letting the energy/ emotions/ let go process. We must feel it to heal it. That's why all this chaos and darkness in the world is a huge opportunity or gift for transformation, but it's difficult and courageous work. Many people will avoid looking at them self because it's scary and painful, but the only way up is going down. 😊🙏✨️

It’s so incredible to see two very different people In love and accepting each other as they are. That , I think, is what true love is and not chasing people that looks and think like us. We all want to belong to a tribe and fail each time because that’s imposing but accepting oneself as we are and accept others as they are and see the beauty of each other authentically is the formula of co- existing and bringing the best of one another and creating harmony as such. Thanks for sharing.

Julie definitely has a "woo woo" vibe that I'm sure many can't relate to, but I'm sure many can't relate to being an ultra runner/triathelete. I think they have more in common than they realize. They both seem to like exploring their extremes, they value monetary success (even though its downplayed), and they both love each other.

Good Lord! Listening to Julie takes me back to the time when I awoke in my chair, having fallen asleep watching PBS, to the voice of Joseph Campbell discussing the power of myth. That was many years ago. I’m 82 years old now and have been cruising through life ever since. I’m pretty aware of my spiritual self but that self needs work and more purpose. I have certainly felt the shift she talks about and it should be pursued. Thanks so much for this podcast.

I may need to listen more than once to digest. Initial thoughts: I so admire that you support eachother's individualism but manage to stay together regardless. I think that's unique and so hard to do. Relationships are so hard to navigate these days. I will be married almost 20 years with 3 children. It hasn't been easy but our love for eachother and dedication to raise our children in a loving and complete home won't let us give up. I have also been exploring NDEs lately and that is why I clicked on this video in the first place. To see what insight on "love" Julie had to add to my worldview and understanding of love: spiritually, existentially or otherwise. Not sure I got anything but again, maybe I need to listen again. Rich, you and your wife need to explore NDEs (Near Death Experiences) further. It will give you a whole new perspective on life here on earth you may not have considered. Please get Dr. Bruce Greyson on your show. He has studied NDEs for over 50 years and his wealth of knowledge and wisdom has been transformative for me. He is a scientist and a skeptic and is always learning. He wrote a book called, After. Well worth reading.

My mum told me as a kid that we did that. The entity that’s leaving your body pulls your leg to see if you’re asleep yet. If you’re not they can’t leave so when they pull on your leg and you don’t respond then they can leave and they go socializing with everybody else. That returns before you wake up. That’s why you should never wake somebody up in their sleep in case your whatever is out and not ready to come back
