14:18 I think the Rickisidal epidemic is unprecedented because the Ricks were minding their own business (“in their own timelines”), whereas C-137 hunted Ricks that were outside their own dimensions and then exclusively ones that were after him. Alternately, it’s unprecedented because it was common before the citadel was created but hasn’t happened since. Or my last theory: No one in the Citidel outside of the council knows about C-137’s past (cause he killed pretty much everyone else) and that’s why they say he has a “history of non-cooperation” and not a “history of murdering Ricks”. They probably don’t want anyone to know about it cause it’s embarrassing considering how much they dislike C-137 and he totally owned them lol

I don't think there is an inconsistency. There is the original, which Rick states is the real story, we saw when evil Morty finished downloading his brain at the Citadel and his Morty looked at it. Then there is the version, which he openly admits is a lie, when he was arrested by the Federation and interrogated by the bug trying to gain Rick's portal formula by using his memories in the brainalyzer. Instead Rick outfoxxed them and the agent uploaded a virus that gave him control of the machine. As established during the scene when the federation was duped, *memories cannot be altered* .

One element that struck me, and I'm not quite sure what it implies. In the flashback sequence (the BIG reveal), I noticed that throughout Rick's rampage to hunt down the killer of his family, we don't see a single Morty paired with any of the Ricks. There's a brief glimpse of Summer and a female grandchild who resembles Morty (and I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a female Morty (Morticia?), I mean one of them's a hammer, Morties can be anything), but notably when Rick leaves through the portal, she doesn't accompany him. He has grandchildren, but they're not part of his adventures And throughout the rampage, we see many, many Ricks, but not a single Morty companion. Sure, some Ricks don't have a Morty, and those that do don't spend every waking hour together, but to see so many Ricks and not a single Morty companion seems uncanny. This makes me think that Rick C-137 is the first Rick to discover this connection with a Morty. We know that other Ricks have moved in with abandoned adult Beths because the younger version of him in BirdPerson's memory refers to it almost as a trope, "one of those creeps." But at the end of the flashback, we specifically see Rick begin his adventures with Morty, the first Morty we see with any Rick in that sequence. So my theory is that Rick C-137, the "Rickiest Rick", was the first to have a Morty, and when the Citadel (then still in development) realized the benefits of having a Morty, they all started scrambling to find one. Some may have had naturally occurring grandchildren (either from abandoned Beths, or Beths who otherwise weren't killed for whatever reason), but the supply vs. demand leads us to the situation that Evil Morty revealed, where they started maneuvering Beths and Jerries together in timelines where they wouldn't have naturally become a couple, and then short-cutting even further by just cloning Morties en masse. This still leaves some big unanswered questions, (like if there are alternate, abandoned Beths, why don't we see any alternate, abandoned Dianes?) and I'm sure there are also some logic holes, but it feels like the lack of Morties throughout the rampage is telling us something about how and when they fit into the timeline.

Something interesting I've noticed about the world(s) of Rick and Morty is that, despite the inherent infinite possibilities within infinite dimensions, each and every dimension seem to proceed on the same, or similar, progression of time. All Ricks and all Mortys, for instance, seem to be the exact same age, more or less. While I don't disagree with your theory, I actually enjoy and still applaud it, I think the biggest reason why none of the Ricks had a Morty was because no version of Morty existed yet. Since, for whatever reason, time is matched within all (shown) dimensions, there couldn't be any Mortys as this was either before Morty had been born, or before he joined in on the adventures alongside his respective Rick.

@@000-k5g4r "each and every dimension seem to proceed on the same, or similar, progression of time." Well, I'm not sure if they are thinking in terms of the physics of "affinity", but if there are infinite dimensions, then those that were most like yours would have branched off with the fewer chances in most recent time. And, if there is a Universal progression and rate of time with Universes of similar mass then, that would make sense. If there is a Black Hole Universe then, it's time would be much slower than the rate of time of the Universe it is inside of. But, as a story-telling device, they want to have a Shrimp Rick and just swap out physiology and variations of a theme, because it relates to the character. Or, Ricks device is tuned for Universes that have Ricks. Timeline out of order would never arrive at that moment where there was a Rick. At the end of the day, this is just a fun show, and they are occasionally getting geeky and making a point, or not even bothering.

This sent C-137 Rick on a warpath for revenge which ended with him decimating countless smart Ricks. After realizing his mistake it's possible that rick was unable to retrieve Kyle's body and so goes into an even more major depression than before, destroys the original citadel of ricks. After being worshiped as "the rick" or "the richest rick", the citadel work together with rick to hide away in a finite portion of time where only ricks are the smartest person in every conceivable universe, the central finite curve. However, rick soon leaves the citadel after learning of their inhuman treatment of morties, as it reminds him of his negligence in raising Kyle. He then opts to travel to a random reality where Beth was abandoned at a young age and then the rest is history. BUT Kyle in fact never died, instead surviving the hostile creatures and environment, due to him being raised by rick and thus having more than average intelligence for a morty. He was either then taken in by another more evil version of rick, or picked up by, and integrated into the citadel of ricks and grew to hate rick kind. Thus, developing a plan to take revenge on his original rick and leaving the central finite curve as "Evil Morty"...

Since Rick has said it himself that they need a Morty to block out the “morty waves” morty is perfect for that so his other sidekick would have been a morty I assume because there’s no other being that is not perfect for the waves that block it out, also in his time line that they show in season 5, they would have shown “Kyle” but since there is no shown evidence of kyle or a diffrent sidekick it must have been a morty from a diffrent dimension that might have been given him or he just found. That’s one therory but with a diffrent theory with the same thing I said, “kyle” could have been evil morty and the reason that evil morty is so much smarter than the mortys might be because Rick c137 raised him and he might have abandoned evil morty since his brain waves where no longer cancelled out by his because he was so much more diffrent to normal mortys. Also in a vision of Rick the first time he got caught by “evil morty” we can see that Rick picked up a baby morty when Rick didn’t meet his morty he has today until morty was more grown up, rick also started crying and that might have been because he misses “kyle” or realises what he has turned him into. I was writing that for ages and thank you for reading of you did.

My Theory? The reason Rick couldnt find or cant find the Rick that killed Beth and his wife is because it IS Rick c-137. Rick hates time travel why? because he needed to use it to go back in time and create himself, leading up to him personally killing his daughter and wife so he can go on to do what he does. He is the Rickest Rick of them all. He scans all the faces and none of them match because its his face.

You questioned if "Earth On A Cob" would be a better alternative to "Tiny Earth" at 21:53 which poses a great point of discussion. To answer this, think about it: If everything is, as they put it "on a cob," then the likeliness of them finding other people - maybe, potentially **ALSO** on a cob - could definitely be a big problem. Or think about it like this: Spiders, snakes, lions, tigers, bears, elephants, giraffes, mountains, pretty much anything you can think of... EVERYTHING IS ON A COB! Their molecules are on cobs!! Not only is that freakishly weird and bizarre on it's own to think about, but this is also fear inducing SEEING such things like bears, snakes or spiders, on a COB, and in a merged body mess. Imagine how many legs and eyes a spider on the cob would have... yeah, now tell me again why you think "Earth On A Cob" is better than "Tiny Earth." Lol
@mihaiteodor77633 жыл бұрын
I believe the main problem would've been that they have to breath air on a cob which probably wouldn't be good for their lungs
@Luke_Craft3 жыл бұрын
Ooh... that is a very interesting concept, though I'm not sure that it would work out 100%. Here's why I think this: The minds of Morty, Jerry, and Summer are seem pretty simple. When Rick shouted that everything is on a cob, especially having been on the planet for a few minutes at least by that point, they would have realized that the air was harmful to them. Now, Rick's mind is obvious, he would know that if the molecules are on a cob that maybe oxygen would be the same. However, if that were an issue, you'd figure it would be addressed or at least mentioned... right?? Maybe I am overthinking it. Lol But let's think about it like this: Rick looked for a planet that was at least 97% like their home planet. (I don't remember the exact numbers, but it's only an example.) This would probably indicate that he was scanning for Earth's with predefined similarities, which would presumably mean that breathable and nontoxic air would be a priority in such a case. I don't really know that Air on a Cob would be too much of a concern if what I mentioned above is true, but with this show you can never be sure, ya know? I do really like the concept though, and I'm not trying to put it down!

You know something another thing if you wanna forget the fact Rick’s act similar. This is something to consider his behavior and how he treated Morty and the family at the beginning which some could argue was harsher. Now that we know Morty is the grandson of the Rick who killed main Rick’s family. It makes sense for why he’s sorta more callous to Morty and his original family. He probably wasn’t trying to get attached to them and wasn’t interested in being around them. Really he wasn’t really acting nice to Morty directly without an ulterior motive until after he had met the Jellybean King.

Its most likely most rick and mortys don’t know about rick killing a whole bunch of them before the citadel was created, since the only people who know are higher ups in the citadel, due to his help in making the citadel his past could be even more protected
@francargeric12 жыл бұрын
It's also worth noting that a lot of Ricks abandon a life of being basically god to work menial jobs in the citadel. I think that the citadel runs a fear campaign of the big bad rick that is going to get them if they don't have Citadel protection, in return giving power to the higher-ups (who are not under attack or will be since they have a non aggression pact, that was broken for a period when they kidnapped Summer). Why else would a Rick become a factory worker or a farmer?

It's possible that most citadel Ricks don't even know about the slaughter campaign that C-137 went on, it's possible that only the council knows as they were the ones spared during that initial assault. During a public proceeding, to keep this fact a secret, they referred to the rickicide as unprecedented. Also it's highly likely that Mortys and versions of the smith family aren't defined by their home dimension but by what version of Rick they call their own, so Morty would be "Morty C-137" because his Rick is "Rick C-137". Most Mortys don't know that their version of Rick is possibly not their original or if they even have a native Rick because of all the memory implantation. It's clear many Mortys are manufactured from other Mortys and given to Ricks that may not even have Mortys.

*Existentialism. if it was Nihilism, then we would no longer follow Rick nor Morty... By forcing the Audience to reflect on the infinite possibilites and CONSEQUENCES of their actions, it is existential debate about how they can make BETTER CHOICES.
