I already think like Rick, I don't need an instructional video on it. Everything is meaningless, the only thing that can let you rid yourself of the thoughts about how completely meaningless everything is, are booze and watching videos until you're too tired to even think and then you just pass out, only to have nightmares about your childhood.

You don't really understand how to use "its" as a possessive pronoun. Its is used in reference to the "It" which in this case is the TV show itself. "I don't mind TV show's existence" is interchangeable with "I don't mind its existence" The reason for the " 's" here is to make "TV Show" into a possessive, not a contraction of "is".

Retitle "how to make people think they're thinking like rick, when your actually told how to think like the writers"
@exine53497 жыл бұрын
Actually no, they say think the writers are telling you to think independently and if you think traditionally you're thinking like millions/billions/thousands etc..etc have thought before you, but logically means you can think how you want to think, not how others want you to think.
@trevorworley91917 жыл бұрын
Dropping out of G7 is a mistake the title of the video is "rick and morty: how to think like rick" my point is that they don't explain how rick thinks, they explain how the writers encourage you to think outside box by giving you plot lines that are nearly impossible to predict, and very entertaining to keep up with. I think they either didn't think about the title that much or intentionally clickbaited. It was a great video it just didn't match the title at all

I think people missed the point of the video. Thinking like rick isnt being edgy, sarcastic, cold and calculated. Its about how one should look past impossible and think more about possibilities. Thus the sci fi aspect and world view perspective that the show presents. To add further, Rick is still human so he still does think anologically and irrationally denies any emotional connection or good morality when it can cure his crippling depression and loneliness. However he does not do that to science and politics and mainstream trend/media or people

Life is an artificial construct that we don’t understand. It’s something every single one of us must face at some point in our lives, if not multiple times. It usually comes out of nowhere, when we’re at our lowest and most vulnerable, when our house is burning and we’ve lost everything. Will you crumple in despair knowing the terrifying truth that life is totally meaningless or make the decision to deal with it. If you would look at life as if it were meaningless you would know how truly terrifying the universe can be. Humans are a speck in the infinite galaxy and to live knowing that means to understand that life is meaningless. Edit: This is me unlocking the “Rick side” of my brain

Analysis is interesting but the title is pretty misleading. It would actually be "how to think like Rick and Morty (as a TV show)". Rick's thinking revolves more on philosophical statement or psychological behavior than on scientific methods. He is smart, he is experienced and alone. So choose to deny every forms of society (even family) and to have a demiurge ego, he is "the closest thing to god". He wanders in the vast absurd (and so not logical world ) and makes it his own, he doesn't care about morality, or social behavior (except of it gives him power). It sounds bad here but the show is giving Rick's approach a lot of approval until it focuses on how destructive he is. How thoughtless it is to follow him unconditionality like Summer does or most of viewers. Morty is not delusional anymore, he doesn't believe in Rick blindly, because he saw how far any faith-based behavior can go. He doesn't rely on itself entirely either, as he saw how ridiculous self driven cult is. Morty is growing each season and his becoming is probably be surprisingly wise and pertinent in the seasons to come. The show is making Rick more and more obsolete..

yeah, I can definitely agree on that. Like in the vindicators episode, he pointed out that Rick might have set up a Saw trap before Rick even remembered he did that. And he knew how to disarm the neutrino bomb. He's the good Morty, the one who sticks around not because he wants to, but because he feels he needs to. I'm pretty excited for season 4, I have a feeling Mortys gonna be way different.

Contemplative Whale whereas before, Morty was more of a secondary character to Rick, later in season 3 we see Morty taking more and more of the spotlight as he assumes greater responsibilities. He's becoming a lot more self aware thanks to Rick, but the drawback is that Rick has, (quite literally), caused Morty to become insane. He taught Morty that abandonment of innocent people was okay, and that there is no value in life. Morty is unable to healthily cope with the burden of that knowledge and has started taking it out on those around him. (snapping more, killing people without regret, etc.) I too am excited to see the character development that season 4 brings :)

This show was made to all "normal" people can watch it with the same level of enjoyment as some one more cultured or smarter then them. If one person doesn't get one joke they won't laugh at it unknowingly, but instead might research or ask about the joke thus improving there knowledge. With that out of the way, to think like Rick does mean you have to be a little shit. It means you open your mind to all possibilities and are more excepting of how yourself and others act and how and why things work.

Scott, you're a fucking idiot. Nobody needs to be a fucking rocket scientist to understand shit like pickle rick or wubba lubba dub dub. It's not some satire of fucking normal shows and how they're all for dumb people, it's just like them but it's about a smart character. This is the reason that people use that copypasta, because a bunch of dumbasses think that they're superior or more intelligent than other people for identifying with a sociopath.

All good shows do this. Hell, Disney and Pixar movies do this. Rick & Morty is good, but its really not that complicated to figure out. There are some cool subtle references though, but as I said, a lot of good shows and movies do this.

Eeeeeh good try but I don't think so. I don't think they made this show to be "smart" at all. Most of the things shown and discussed in RnM are parodies of other movies or shows so are already in the mainstream culture, it was inspired by Back to the Future for god sake. There is nothing in this show that really requires you to be smart or educated to enjoy. The fan base has some how latched onto this idea and for some reason it is starting to stick. Personally I blame videos like this, by pseudo intelligent fans who what to show off their brains by analysing it to depths it was never meant to be analysed.

The joke about interdimensional cable being "improvisational" is actually also a little easter egg for people who get really into the show, because all of the stuff seen on TV was just Justin roiland drunk improvising characters, and they later decided to turn that into an episode.

Here's a freebie for sentient Rick and Morty. When Rick and Jerry go on an adventure it is a theme park inside of an invincibility shell, which is like an episode of a television show where you go on a ride but know that everything is essentially invulnerable and will come back to its initial state of safety and standard of permanence, all the while inside of the shell which is your television set.
@LFXGaming6 жыл бұрын
the reason rick says "almost like it has a improvisation tone" about interdimentional cable is because all of the tv shows on it you see have been completely improvised and just edited over

Justin Ellis well, you don't know "the truth". And If one, for example, understands that we are simply creatures driven by chemical responses from our brain, would it then be wise to block your own release of endorphines by needlessly putting yourself down with a nihilistic outlook?Is that truly wise? Rick is only so careless because he is above death and life is pretty much a game he has mastered long ago. you would simply be an idiot with that attitude.
