With the Vat of Acid episode, the reason there is no dialogue for most of the middle is because the script just had the outline of the episode before and after the montage, but didn't have anything scripted for the montage, so they just told the animators to come up with their own ideas of funny scenarios to show Morty abusing the save-states, which they did, and then went a step further, because the entire love story with the unnamed girl was something the creators had no idea about until the animation team got back to them with what they had made, where they were expecting a few funny scenes of Morty doing dumb shit, and then got hit with an entire silent sub-story that has ups and downs and shows the true horror of not using the power properly.

I'm pretty sure they added in that scene where Morty falls in love with a girl, and is a relationship with her, because the original episode they pitched in was about 7 minutes too short to air on television, so they needed more to add lol.

Vat of Acid episode is one of the best episodes of Rick and Morty if you ask me. I love how petty ASF Rick is to the point of making Morty kill countless other Morty's across the multiverse just because he questioned Rick's planning. BTW I love how Jerry just took away Morty's chances of discovering true love. This episode is so dark yet so hilarious🤣

@@venom_spy437 The point was that he intentionally didn't save because at that point he already understood that the consequences are what makes things real, he didn't want to remove all value from his relationship by taking it for granted and then it wouldn't be real anymore. Also it would be selfish as in that case Morty's partner would be on the receiving end of being taken for granted. Would you like to be taken for granted in your relationship?

I love that when he shoots the mobsters Morty forgets to raise the power on the gun (after Rick used it to shoot a ladle), so he just sets their clothes on fire. So in the next vat Rick leaves the power already set low (in case of ladles) but this time Morty DOES remember and ends up turning it up and accidentally blowing the cop in half. That's commitment to messing up.

Rick's drool is because of his smart serum. He drinks out of his flaskthey obtained on season 1 episode 1. The only time he drools is when he drinks that whenever he's drunk , he drools as well, but when he always drinks from a bottle with x's on it. But on the prison escape episode that used the drill to identify which one was our rick.

I don’t like the Vat of Acid episode. The final explanation for how the rewind bracelet actually works makes no sense, in an episode where the entire meta-story was about ideas not making sense. It’s just… unsatisfying once you get over the animators’ excellent writing for the middle sequence and the basic enjoyment of seeing Rick be petty again.
