For all the poeple whinning about the origin of churros: YES, THEY ARE FROM SPAIN. But remember, México was colonized by the spanish, so the ancient cultures had a magical ingredient called chocolate which eventually was mix with the churros, cinamon and sugar giving result in the amazing delicious dish we all know now.

To all the Spanish people complaining here: I'm also Spanish, my family owns a churreria, and believe me these are maybe mexican but surely not spanish churros 😂 Just for your information, another way to make churros (the spanish way): boil water, like a cup for every cup of flour; add salt to the flour and mix it with the hot water; then, simply fry them in a lot of oil (use olive oil for better results). Set aside and add sugar to it. These are simpler, but I promise you they're delicious 😍

Willing to try this kind of churros. They actually differ from the Spanish churros, whose recipe involves just water, flour and a pinch of salt. These look like 2.0 churros, created by the Latinamericans to improve what we taught them once. Anyway, for those arguing in the comments below, these churros are not ours, Spaniards. Better? Worse? Let's just try them!
@ilikeceral37 жыл бұрын
Christinachaos this. technically tortillas originated in Spain too, but Latin America changed the recipe so drastically to make into what we know as tortillas today.

I only know those too! water, flour, salt and SO MUCH ELBOW GREASE. We use a stainless steel cilinder attached to the table with two bolts to shape the churros o.O and we only eat them with sugar outside or with dulce de leche inside, they don't need any fancy sauce
