Thank you for the instruktion to the beautiful rickrackrib! 😍Just a question: what kind of cast on so you use for that one? I use long-tail cast on but somehow the wholw rib moves towards the left.. Thanks!

Hi Maria - we used a long tail cast on too! If you'd like to see the full pattern, it's available here. www.purlsoho.com/create/2011/11/23/whits-knits-rick-rack-scarf/ It's possible your first row of knitting is slanting left as part of the design, try a few extra rows an see what happens! Happy knitting!

Love this video. Have a question- would these steps be the same for knitting in the round? Thinking caps.

Hi Rena! Great question! The stitch pattern would take quite a bit of re-working in order to knit the in the round although I do believe that someone wlse may have worked it our on KZbin!

how many St's for a baby blanket please
@PurlSoho2 жыл бұрын
Hi Marie! The number of stitches you cast on depends on your gauge and how wide you want your blanket to be. To figure out your cast-on number, you will want to first knit a gauge swatch in pattern. Once you know how many stitches you are getting per inch, you can multiply that number by the width that you would like and cast on the nearest multiple of 3 + 1. Then you can follow the rick rack rib pattern as written!

way to fast and you should zoom in the needles. I can't see anything

Hi Alina! We are sorry that this is difficult for you to see. With KZbin videos, you can slow them down by clicking on the cog in the lower right hand corner and adjusting the speed. You can also blow up the video to be full screen to get a better view. We find that when videos are too zoomed in that it can be hard to get a sense of what is happening but we will certainly keep your suggestion in mind for the future.
