What i have done and what most people can do is just pay off their credit card at the end of the month. Not only does it make you money, but it also raises your credit score so you can get a loan for a car or buy that house. Ask yourself before you buy something that maxes out your credit card, "do i really need it?". Lets stop making the rich richer and being a slave to debt.
