He had such a relaxed way of taking his lead and settling into that wide stance. The turn and the head down "balls to the wall" stride with a great head first dive most of the time. Guy loved baseball and loved the notion of scoring runs and putting his team in position to win. The rest was probably just showmanship. Him with dirt on the front of his uniform is what I looked up to as a kid in the 80's.

I love how the ump is patting Rickey on the back after he got hit with the pitch as if he's his coach at 4:25 lol. Man I miss Rickey. He was so exciting to watch.

The only player with 1000+ TSB which no one will ever capture. Rickey's record stands forever because MLB does not play base to base anymore instead it is about the homerun. If I had to create ultimate MLB team, here is my lineup: 1) Henderson 2) Jeter/Musial 3) Ruth 4) Aaron 5) Pujols 6) Mantle 7) Wagner 8) Cobb 9) T. Williams would be my lineup.

what a graphic. lou brock 938 rickey henderson 937 ty cobb 936 apparently cobb's number has been revised to 897 and put 4th behind billy hamilton also of the dead ball era. but rickey wasn't done, he would end up with 1406, totally obliterating the record.
