Wonderful video. I’m going to have to raid my neighbors log pile and build one. I’ve done a few spoons and currently working on a small bowl and it would certainly be handy for bowls and kuksa.

It's good to see videos by someone who knows the value of a bow saw in carpentry. I had a friend who used his to cut his firewood and work on buildings.

What a great idea. Thanks! It so happens I have a similar size log I found a month or two ago that was not cut ‘square’’ - you’ve provided the solution. Thanks again.

I like your video format style, explain when appropriate, let video do most of the talking. Speed up on more basic parts! Great bids, I'm subscribed!

Love it! What sort of drill bits do you use in your hand drill? Also, you should make a bow saw or frame saw for that exact kind of sawing....you'll love it! They have kits out there that are awesome.

Is that a comfortable height for you? It looked a little short for your stature. It came out very nice and has inspired me to make one. Thanks!

Hello Thanks for the video!

You do nice work but the bench looks wobbly and the log doesn't look green. If your legs are green they will loosen up as they dry. "Green" woodworking works the opposite way, bone dry legs and a green log and the legs will tighten as the log dries. I'll be watching more of your videos, interested in how the bench worked out. Thanks

@@RickMayotte Thank you Rick, Nice spoon blank! But I was more curious about what those pegs that look kinda like dreidels are for.
@RickMayotte3 жыл бұрын
@@erikblarg5498 I put them there so I could wedge a wood blank between the pegs and the sidewall to work on with a gouge to make a bowl or kuksa, etc. I have not yet done this but it's on my list of things for the future. Thanks!
