Was very beautiful to go and visit your grandmother and great-grandmother. I was fortunate to visit my grandparents graves last year and my mother who passed away in 2018. It's good to honor your ancestors. He put smiles on billions of faces and still does! I'm sure he's smiling at all the love and laughs he's still getting 88 years later! As for my favorite Stooge, I like them all, but Curly was my favorite!

Comedy is so important to me and Larry, Moe & Curly are on my Mount Rushmore of the greats. I'm enjoying watching all of the videos and really appreciated the insights. This video was a great tribute to Moe Howard. Your personal tribute to your grandmother and great-grandmother was very classy. They would be very proud of your valuable contribution of joy and education you give to people.

If your grandma and great grandma had roles in determining the kind of person you are today Rick, then they were and are truly special ladies. Thanks so much for sharing this personal journey with us; I found it inspiring and uplifting. Being remembered fondly after death is the greatest of honors for everyone!

I was more impressed with the visit to the graves of your Grandmother and Great-Grandmother than the visit to Mr. Howard. Thank you for sharing that experience. My Grandmother was the most important person in my life, ever. She basically raised me and she definitely molded me into the person I am. She passed in 1993 and I think about her everyday.

not necessarily a fan of moe howard however i do appreciate your love of the stooges. also, i consider it a privilege that you took me and your viewers to your family's graves. may they rest in peace. i also touch headstones and such. i've noticed people leaving pebbles on in-ground headstones as a sign of visitation even in non-jewish cemeteries where it is the custom. i respect people who honor their loved ones' memories in this way. i feel a sense of peace and comfort when i visit. it's a symbolic act that these people mattered and that they are still loved. thanks, rick.

Been to Moe's grave myself. I suppose everybody noticed that next to Moe is his wife Helen - who died only 9 months later. I was 14 when Moe died and I remember it like yesterday. I was sad and all, but I understood that Moe wasn't young anymore. Remember, in the early 70s, Moe was very much in demand on talk shows, so I was fortunate enough to catch a lot of those appearances before he left. Very touching video Rick.

Rick, I am enamored of your efforts. I want to say that your work is really enjoyable, humble & low key (not in your(our) face). The visititation of your family's final resting place is affirmation of your style. So is the choice to take us to see Moe's grave. Buy Robert Kurson's Three Stooges Encyclopdia, if you haven't already.... I just subscribed to you, as I find your vids being suggested to me, and I've watched a few and really enjoyed your efforts.... Might I also suggest watching The Rockford Files as well. This James Garner series ran 6 seasons on NBC from 1974-1980. It is a well written private detective series that even some younger folks are digging from what I read online lately. Yes, it's a detective show, but with a good dose of humor written in. Much like what James Garner did to the Western genre back in the 1950s with Maverick.... It might take a little time to grow on you, but by the 2nd season you should be fully up to speed. Actually, the 1st season is a bit weaker to subsequent seasons, if you ask me....

I am sorry Moe and Shemp didn't even make note of their real names on their markers. I see Curley on the other hand is in reality not Jerome. That was adopted maybe by parents but probably by Ellis Island officials to hasten assimilation, as the family immigrated from Russia. His name is actually Yehudah (Judah) Leib and he is from the special tribe of Levy. And because it is on his burial stone as is only proper, we can now know. Thank you for the video. I just now went to look up on Wikipedia. Moe was Moses, so Moshe. And Shemp was Samuel, so Shmuel in Hebrew. Nicest of names.

Hi, Rick. Thanks for this episode. Are your relatives interned at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale? I've been there and the surroundings looked similar to parts of it. Moe Howard is at the In Culver City Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery for anyone in the Los Angeles who wants to go over there. Hope you visit the other cemeteries that Larry, Curly and Shemp are interned. Start with any of them you want. Looking forward to the continuing episodes.
