Burton is one of the best guitarists. He’s the one who got me interested in playing all those years ago. It’s a shame that when he started playing a solo the camera shot away so we could watch someone pour a drink.🙄

Unforgotten music of the 1950s and 1960s is played far too seldom today, with Ricky Nelson, Paul Anka and many more. Movie stars like Lana Turner, Esther Williams, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Leslie Caron, Thelma Ritter, Gene Kelly.

I wish I was a apple hangin' in a tree. And everytime my sweetheart passed. She'd take a bite off me. She told me that she loved me. She called me sugar plum. She threw her arms around me I thought my time had come. Get along home, Cindy Cindy. Get along home, Cindy Cindy. Get along home, Cindy Cindy. I'll marry you sometime. I wish I had a needle. As fine as I could sew. I'd sew her in my pocket. And down the road I go. Cindy hugged and kissed me. She wrung her hands and cried. Swore I was the prettiest thing. That ever lived or died. Get along home, Cindy Cindy. Get along home, Cindy Cindy. Get along home, Cindy Cindy. I'll marry you sometime.

I am a 69 year old WHITE CONSERVATIVE male. Unfortunately those times were a mirage. If you were a person of color the country was a very different place. Segregation and prejudice permeated the country, especially in the south. Their reality was far different than ours. As children we were innocent and unaware of the injustices. As adults is is time for us to work for equality and justice for ALL americans.
@davidalen92793 жыл бұрын
@@johnorabone6112 I am just as old...and of course the country was largely separate and unequal at that time...but Jim Crow ended in 1964 and with it LEGAL systemic discrimination. Now if they'd have a "poor lives matter" protest the REAL issue might be addressed... but I doubt it...of course youth was more innocent and ignorant...prerogatives of youth... Cheers
