If someone makes 40 dollars an hour, you should be getting a raise of 1.20. Then they cut cost by firing everyone who takes out the trash, cleans bathrooms, half our maint department, the painters, grass cutters, and lots of other staff. Now I'm not just an operator of equipment and the fire brigade, I'm the chemistry department, maint crew, bathroom cleaner, trash removal expert, racoon fighter in the switchyard, snake charmer in the grass, but I only get about 40% of the work schedule done.
