If I'm being honest his tragic CEO loss is why I'm very happy to see him win this, I remember being extremely mad the day he lost CEO but I kept hope that he would win something, it took some majors to get there but Riddles did it. Congratulations to him and I hope he wins more in the future. I guess Kazuya was the plan all along for him to win. Hopefully he also gets his runback on Sonix the next time they play. Sparg0 was always so close with pyra/mythra and Riddles was so close with Terry but both couldn't close it out. To see probably my favorite smash player win after so long is amazing, and all these comments are showing love and support because they know how hard it is to overcome every bad MU and demon in bracket. Yes Kazuya is really good, but at Riddles’ level, it’s the payoff for all of his hard work labbing combos and learning precise inputs. Been arguing since week 2 after Kaz's release that he's S Tier. Hes a very high skill character that was gonna take some time to blossom since ya have to play him in a very "anti-smash" fashion but really he's seen international success from the beginning. Kazuya and Steves are about to pop up more and more. Steves are learning counterplay to their counterplay and Kazuya's are becoming one with their characters This character is nuts but Riddles has been levling

Light played better but this game is so high risk low reward. Kazuya is the perfect example it doesn’t matter if some strings are hard to pull off. Light really has to play perfect to win. I don’t know how he manages to play solo fox at a high level and still win, it’s insane.

What he's saying is to play Fox well enough to win at this level you have to play almost perfectly, something that is very, very difficult to do for the entire length of a major and especially in these high stakes matches. For example, Fox can win over 80% of neutral interactions and then die to Kazuya at 0 because you slipped up even one time and got hit by ELGF. Then you respawn and get Kazuya to 110%, but uh oh, he's heavy af and didnt die to Up-smash. Also he comboed you once and now you're at 60% and will die from anywhere on the stage to his super armor command grab. Sure sounds like a great time for the Fox player, doesn't it?

to any haters that are going to mindlessly say he’s carried and kazuya is broken please hear me out riddles has played smash since he was a kid he’s not new to the scene he puts hours into grinding both offline and online light has had a big winning record on riddles so to say kazuya is the decisive factor as to why he won is just untrue riddles is not only good at smash but can play multiple fighting games at a high level if you watched all the sets you’d see he went very close just going back and forth getting beat up then returning the favor harder the two most notable players have had results prior to kazuya and there’s no random players that have popped up putting in results quite like riddles/tea in conclusion kazuya is a great character but it’s incredibly disrespectful to just brush him off as “braindead autowin” until kazuya winning is a common thing and players are doing it like riddles I don’t see the point in complaining kazuya is broken when in fact riddles is the one that needs to be nerfed

Congrats to riddles but the win is a little unsightly. You can look at 11:58 in the vid to find that riddles making a huge blunder that would have killed 95% of the cast (except Bowser, etc.). Meanwhile riddles gets fox to not even above 90% and kills him with a well read up-b. It's a huge disparity in how most of the cast has to play against dlc. This game is going in the direction of brawl, and smash4.

1. That comeback could have happened with any character. Fox is light and riddles had rage 2. People keep saying the game is going to revolve around only dlc despite the fact more of ults top 8 don't have a repeating character.
