Great video and review. I have one of these and I fully agree with your point about not having riding aids. This bike is a ride his bike. It’s a riders who want to build a skill level. It’s also built around the rider with an excellent seating position that offers great balance.

as for handling the bikes are quite good with two exceptions stock exhaust will touch the ground in hard cornering the stock shocks are a little soft for the track (racing) but totally fine for track days on the street and back roads it is amazingly confidence inspiring with aftermarket exhaust and setting the suspension up for my riding style its one of the best! so easy to ride fast!

Nice video, I'm a beginner motorcyclist, my first bike at age 48 end am small 166cm,, so which bike of this equation is right for me? I drive daily to work in the city and also the highway and sometimes during a weekend round of recreational so, which one? don't like Adventure such an engine, love Naked bike so what is your opinion? are they similar to Honda cb 1000 r or Suzuki GSX-S 1000 or BMW S 1000 R

as a new rider, you will want to get all the enjoyment out of a bike to truly have fun, I would always recommend buying a smaller bike first, you will have more fun and getting comfortable and having things happen as second nature, like on a bicycle will come much faster. get a bike that has a good exit strategy! something you can sell later and easily get your money out of, the CB500F, Ninja 650 and Versys 650 make great bikes to get your comfort and skill level up.

I know you’ve said it about 4 times in the video but can you or have you really started off the 6th gear at a light stop ? 🚦

I did actually try starting off in 6th, and yes it will do it, no problem, but that would put more stress and ware on the clutch to do that all the time, this bike and the GSX-S1000 both are like this. I still use all the gears!

Would have loved a Z1000 with the chance of setting the bike on rain mode (half power) for a begginer to grow into it .... That kinda made me take the Z900 instead of the z1000 that we liked as a first bike for my girlfriend :).......

What about the comfort of the seat @ long rides?

Long rides, it depends on what you consider a long ride, and seats fit people differently. with that said I find that the seat is comfortable for 2 hours at a time, after that its time to stretch your legs a bit, also I guess it depends on what I'm comparing it to, for instance it is more comfortable than my the stock seat on a 2011 BMW GS, and less comfortable than the stock seat on a 2011 moto guzzi Norge. if your coming from a sport bike, you will likely find it more comfortable than most. its more of a firm seat, I like that! some like a soft gushy seat, I find that is less comfortable on longer rides, say my rides to Mexico or Alaska where I might spend 12 to 14 hours in the seat each day.
