I have an 8 year old Cayenne Pro suit with over 50k miles of paved sport touring. It has worked really well for me in 3 season riding all over the US, southern Canada, the Alps and the Dolomites. The comfort level is such that I just don't think about the suit while I'm riding. Rain gear goes over the outside. Warm gear inside. It works very well in high heat with evaporative gear underneath. I have looked at the Cayenne 2 in person and they have fixed 2 of my three complaints with the Pro. The only one remaining is that the waste band adjuster on the pants loosens with movement. I fixed that with a snap. If the Cayenne 2 fits your body, I highly recommend it. I haven't tried other high end suits for comparison.

I ended up combining the Cayenne trousers with the Tornado jacket. The Tornado jacket has plenty of pockets, but the Tornado trousers don't have enough pockets. So, even though they don't match I've bought the Tornado top since it's cheaper, and the the Cayenne pants for said pockets. My biggest problem is that my first two pants tore in the crotch, which is supposedly stretchy. The stitching that goes through the stretch zones isn't made to stretch. I finally bought a 3rd pair of pants, and this time I got the sizing right (for me). The liner that my Tornado jacket came with has worked really well. I did have a low speed crash in my REV'IT! gear, and it survived really well. My leg was caught under the bike but the only damage was some frayed threads on the pocket.

Wow Ian I really appreciate you still reviewing suits like this despite your massive biceps making it difficult lol. Definitely agree on the versatility of mesh. I don't have the budget for a full suit, let alone a revit suit. But the jacket I use every day is the Revit Torque 2 H20, and I ride in hot weather with that jacket without the liner. If it's a little chilly I put the waterproof liner in, and that blocks most of the wind. And I've ridden with it regularly in temperatures around 35 degrees with the liner + a hoodie or puffy underneath.

Thanks for the review. It was interesting and helpful. Last summer I bought a Sedici ADV Series mesh riding suit. It fits great, looks good, and has a rain under layer. It has good armour, and the zipper connection of jacket & pants. The price was about $350. With the addition of a 100% Merino wool base layer, it a three season suit. Happy Trails

The problem I have with mesh suits is that the air-conditioning is either on or off. Wear a liner over or under, airflow gone everywhere. Remove liner, airflow everywhere. I prefer to dress for the ride. Am I riding single/double track and fire roads - I use more Mx based gear with tons of airflow. Am I ADV touring, I'm wearing something like the Revit Sand 4/Spidi Allroad/Dainese Springbok. Large mesh panels but I can partially open and close them as well as wear a liner under or over it.

Still rock my Cayenne pro from two years ago and man I gotta tell you, I love that suit, it’s breathability, it’s durability, and the overall fit much more than my Klim Carlsbad. Rev’it stuff is great.

At this premium level for riding suits, one might consider the Aerostitch line of American-made riding suits. Have you considered reviewing any of their extensive line of two-piece suits? I recently bought a new Cousin Jeremy suit for all but summer (hot weather) riding and I love it.

I have this suit. I’m 6’2” 250lbs and needed a 4xl. Even with the largest suit, it doesn’t fit when I fill the hydration bladder. The area around the circumference where the bladder is becomes too tight, so I can’t use it, yet with an external bladder, it doesn’t flow air too well. I only wear it in the hottest conditions. If I’m only going to be on-road, my Rev’It! Tornado suit flows more air and is more comfy.

Have been a poo pooer of high priced jackets and pants for a long time. However, needed some new pants, had multiple gift cards sitting around, and decided to bite the bullet on Klim (I know, not a Klim vid). Point being, they are AWESOME. I’ve been converted. U do get what u pay for with the higher priced gear.

Awesome review. Have this jacket but not the pants as I would prefer black pants for ADV riding. Ventilation is great for our weather here in South East Asia. Pricey though compared to the last version.

Good honest review. I really wanted a Revit jacket but just could not get it to fit. Normally I wear a L but could only fit a 2XL across the power belly, then the arm length was way off. Too bad they didn't have a different line that sized more towards the North American fit.
@elizabethwonders Жыл бұрын
Love this review! Jacket’s definitely run small. I normally wear a size 38 EU, but I wear 46 in Women’s EU. It’s easy to size after you try on a couple of jackets and pants. ❤️😊

Really nice suit. I ended up buying the Tornado 2 from Rev'it because the Cayenne 2 trousers are not in XXL Long... A pity and a bit strange for a Dutch brand (tallest people in the world)

They have some great gear for sure, I recently bought their gloves the Revit sand 4 gloves. I use the Klim Induction jacket and pants with the Cordura, and Karbonite mesh, high vis. Ian when you can tell us what you use for a water layer rain suit, thanks.

For hot weather I went with Acerbis X-tour....waaaaay better in all aspects: HUGE mesh vents in front that can be closed, HUGE mesh airflow in the back that can be closed, massive sleeve vents, level 2 protections all over, big vents in the pants, thermal liner and waterproof liner that you can wear on a stand alone basis to walk wround or sit around a camping spot/fire in a chilly noght...or simply OVER the jacket when it rains...the best and most intelligent product I have seen so far..and by the way the full suit price is the price for the cayenne 2 jacket...
@callmeioane239 Жыл бұрын
These 2 products are totally different the acerbis one is a TOURING jacket not an adventure one
@purificator1004 Жыл бұрын
@callme ioane actually I do not buy the marketing BS about the touring vs adventure because the line between the two is so blurred that it does not matter. If your suit offer rain protection, thermal liner, venting, CE impact protection, etc then it fits the bill....the acerbis is like a Swiss knife in this area....just saying... Rev'it has definitely more premium products but I care only about usability not status

Always can count on an honest review from you whether it's riding gear, bikes or accessories. Have you looked at the Halo Drystar jacket from Alpinestars? F9 reviewed it and it looks pretty versatile.

Very Nice Suit, ironically it is a very similar design in many aspects to the Sedici Guarda suit, although the Garda is a 4 season suit, I Picked one up recently myself & am simply blown away with what you get for the price. Have a look at them if you get the chance, simply mind boggling how much you get for the $$$

Hi Ian i love your channel. Thanks for the great content. What would be your choise if you need to choose an all arounder for a 10 day trip with temp. between 5-25degrees celsius, 4 season jacket among sand 4, offtrack2, alp. Halo or cayenne? Or any other?

Thanks for the awesome review.. would you consider doing a Cayenne 2 vs Baja S4 review maybe? would love to hear your thoughts on that comparison and which would you recommend. I used to ride in SoCal.. I now live in India.. we barely get a month of “winter” where I am so mesh is definitely the way to go but was confused between the Cayenne 2 or the Baja S4.. I currently own a Tornado 2 jacket which I don’t have any complaints with as such.. the tornado 2 pants are a funny fit though..

I just bought the outgoing version, and got a killer deal on both the jacket and the pants. I prefer the older version, cause the materials are superior, in the elbows and knees. I wear XL in the jacket, and a medium in the pants.

Great product however they run small and their larger sizes are always out of stock or not offered in certain sizes / models. Hint: if you produce bigger sizes for the US market you will sell a lot more of your gear... Klim offers a larger more relaxed fit... we are not all skinny europeans..... oh well.

The price is over the top in my opinion. I mean your review actually says it’s expensive and doesn’t flow as well as cheaper suits. End of review. LOL. But seriously,$1200 for a mesh suit? I could have new gear every year for 5 years for that price. Rev it makes good stuff but at what point do you call them out for premium pricing just because it says Revit on it?
