@@shaneskismcsparky4559 I haven't done any mods atm. Went off roading for the first time yesterday, one part had some bad ruts and bike landed on my ankle gonna buy some legit off roading boats and try again once I heal up.

@@Mycatz Sorry to hear about the ankle, hopefully you heal up fast! I also got out for my first offroad ride yesterday and it was amazing. Dumped the bike a couple times but all is good. I definitely recommend some good boots mine already saved my ankle. I'm wearing the Sidi adventure boots. They're not cheap but worth every penny. Motocross boots might be a better option though.

I have the Excursion kit. Great luggage for the price. Enough room for minimalist ADV, or longer trips if you plan to use hotels. These bags are larger than I prefer. The larger the bags, the more necessary stuff you bring.

I bought these for my vstrom last summer. The one thing I did not like was that the handrails do not allow the bags to curve around seat. I wish the center section was a little wider.The small quickdraw bag ( thats what its called?) looks water proof but leaks like a sieve and lets water in but not out. I cut the straps accordingly to mitigate the possibility of getting wrapped up in chain.And I also added some insulation to the heat shield because its gets hot and rt bag is pressed hard against it with my installation. For the money they work as intended , you just cant take the kitchen sink.

Get some Rustoleum NeverWet fabric spray and it will make the bags waterproof. Awesome stuff.

If you live in Australia it is much cheaper to buy a set of quality pannier racks and panniers than use the Moskomoto Revolver system. Probably applies to the Tusk bags as well. The tyranny of distance.

Thank you for the video. What advice / opinion would you have comparing the Tusk to the Giant Loop Great Basin for a KTM 890. Primary use would be a BDR such as Wyoming or Idaho with camping. I would value your thoughts?

Have you found a good way to fully pack the inner dry bags and then get them to go into the mounted outers? I’ve found it’s worse than trying to wrestle a water balloon over a greased watermelon 😂
