Just up the road at Leiston, is the Long Shop Museum which is sited in the former Richard Garrett and Sons former Works. The Museum has a number of artefacts related to Zeppelin L48 including original material and personal effects, and items fashioned from airframe aluminium. During the first World War Garretts ceased manufacture of agricultural steam engines and manufactured munitions and parts for the Fe2B airplane and it was one of these airplanes that took part in the encounter with L48 that led to its eventual demise.

Wow, that is great. I wish I had known that when I was there I could have gone there and got some great footage. I will look at that and have a read up. Thanks for letting me know.

Fascinating vid. As an old Biker/ Non stipendiary Priest, I have found many interesting items in Churches. Two near me in Norfolk are ! In Downham Market is displayed a Venetian glass chandalier from the 1700s found hidden in the bell tower, no one knows how or when it got there. 2 in Stow Bardolf Church, also from the 1700s, there is a waxwork funeral effigy of Lady Sarah Hare, very life like and in a glass fronted case, it has given a few visitors a bit of a turn when they suddenly come across it in the vestry.

Wow, it is amazing what is all around us. I used to take part in a Round Britain Rally (RBR) it is still going. You have to find about 90 items all over the UK. Some are amazing. Starts in April, and ends in november. You have to get as many as you can.
