I wonder how much faster/better it would have done with a 4 amp hour max output or bigger. That was a regular 4 amp. It has the side connections to take advantage of the max output batteries. Pretty sweet. Soon as my store has one it'll be in my cart. Thanks for the vid 👍👊

Yea. I'm upset with myself for that one. I have both the 4ah and 8ah max batteries. By the time I got back inside with all the footage and finished editing the video I realized I was running the standard battery 🤦🏻♂️

@@thehousemann that's cool man. Happens to everyone one time or another! No biggie. Maybe if you want some video ideas with things you already have, maybe do an update video of you doing these tests again with the better batteries and run the two videos side by side!? Cheers!

@@4673962 thanks for the idea. Any suggestions on how to really test the 4ah standard vs the 4ah max? Or even the 8ah?
@4673962 Жыл бұрын
@@thehousemann I guess you could get some large industrial construction fasteners/screws and screw them down and compare the speed and see which one sinks the deepest. Then take a lag bolt and screw it into some uniform material and see which battery sinks in the deepest and quickest. Maybe if you had a torque guage or an r.p.m. guage you could check which battery does the most. The toque guage would have to be tested on some thing like a huge lag bolt that is too big for the drill to drive so the drill would have to give it all the beans it has. If you try that you would need to make sure and not let the gun move or twist in your hands that much. For that would lower the power numbers. If you had a thermal sensor you could read the temperature of the gun and batteries after each test and see the difference there. There's a couple ideas. I know some of them need some other equipment. It would be all right if you don't. There are other ways of testing. If you don't have an on-screen stopwatch/Chrono maybe you could find someone and stopwatch.

@@4673962 I welcome all advice! I am lacking most of the equipment you mentioned. But as the channel grows, Im not opposed to reinvesting into it. Thanks again for all the info

Can’t wait for this drill to be released in Canada, so I can do some videos on it and do some testing against the Milwaukee gen 3🤙

Would be an awesome video! This drill has been super impressive. The one thing I didn't touch on the video, was most of the footage was shot one after the other. The tool got warm, but never faltered. And the 4ah battery held up well as well.

I think the new 8.0 max output exp battery with 21700 cells will make that hammer drill run like a champ the 12.0 coming next year is over kill but also has 21700 cells
@thehousemann Жыл бұрын
Yep. I do have one of those for the rear handle circular saw. For my applications haven't had to put the 8ah on the hammer drill yet
@DiligentDave1966 Жыл бұрын
I just noticed that your text says speed two is max torque. From what I’ve seen in other videos, speed one is max torque.
@thehousemann Жыл бұрын
You are correct good catch. Speed one is low rpm/high torque. Speed two is high rpm/low torque.

Is this a good all-in-one drill/driver/hammer tool? How well would it work for driving screws too?

Abosoluelty! This is actually the only driver I use now a days. I actually have two of them so I dont have to constantly keep changing bits. I think it has beene a little over a year since I got these and they are still going strong.

Thinking about getting it only 3 left on HOME Depot website it would make a great video against my FLEX HAMMER DRILL with STACKED LITHIUM but I have to GET the 8 AMP HO BATTERY for it to be COMPETITIVE against my FLEX
@thehousemann Жыл бұрын
Could always try it with the included battery and see if it keeps up. If it starts failing then I'd try the 8ah.

I want this in kit form with the R862312 impact driver with a 8 AMP 21700 cell Battery for $399
@thehousemann Жыл бұрын
That would be nice, but only seem them pair the 8ah battery with the more demanding tools like the circular saw.
@mattek5192 жыл бұрын
We wont see it in Canada for ages. The real test i wanted to see was if it could power a 2-9/16 milwauke switch blade bit through 2x4+ framimg Wood in speed2. Everything you did in this test the R86115 800 in lbs hammerdrill can also do. Im not impressed whatsoever. Please do some more heavy duty tests to see if it is comparable to the top dogs like Flex, the Dewalt dcd999 and the Milwaukee gen 3. I just noticed you aren't even using a max output battery. Specifically the 8ah. No offense, but this test was literally a waste of your time.
@thehousemann2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the feedback. Still learning as I'm going. But this channel is more focused on the homeowner side of things than the professional side. What do you consider heavy duty tests? I have the 8ah battery, so I wouldn't be opposed to push the tool to its limits. I've been trying to make videos based on the suggestions and feedback of others. As far as the switch blade, that's a $65 bit, that I wouldn't see myself using other than for a test.

Who the hell do you think you are? Your time wasted? Buy all the drills you want, and do the damn tests yourself...
@mattek5192 жыл бұрын
@@JB-ot9hi lol. Well, i am someone who speaks truth and facts. Everything in this video is a breeze for lesser drills therefore this was noy a test of capabilities for the r861152. I would gladly test mysrlf if it was available in Canada to purchase. Also, tissue?

Will there be a new 4 tool combo kit with this drill replacing the shitty old version?
