I've been watching your channel for a while now and growing from strength to strength. I'm keen to do a Simpsom Desert crossing next year for my 50th ( most likely solo), and this episode has me thiking I should head to Fraser Is for a few days of sand practice, and it's been a few years since I was there last. I've finally subscribed, keep up the great work mate.

@@plan_b_adv thanks mate. Appreciate that. Are you somewhere near to Fraser Island? You could always ride a beach on the mainland for some practice before getting over to Fraser if that’s an option.

Great video! Thanks! I'm thinking your number plate bolt fits in that brake calliper. Then just cable tie the number plate It's amazing where those bolts fit into. 😅

Fantastic as always mate, might be a good idea to give the bikes a wash with freshwater to get all that sand & salt off if you haven't already

great content brother, pita on the break caliper - had I been recording my usual rides I would have caught myself having a nice stack on the drz, last w.e, instead the camera chin mount got munched while the camera was safe at home... escaped with a decent bruise on the knee - found out my throttle cable was too tight and the throttle wasn't snapping back properly on right turns and that's where I whiskey'd into a ditch - re-routed the cables now and hopefully I can avoid the same occurrence. Look forward to the next ep.. shakka

Cool vid. A couple mates and I rode Fraser a couple of years ago on enduro bikes. A husky in the group also lost the front caliper bolts. Crazy. We pilfered less critical bolts from within the groups bikes until we got back to rainbow

Could take one triple clamp bolt out on either side to use for the front caliper in a pinch. The reason they backed out could be the threads were stretched.

I’m stunned to see you cut the brake line. Few things, the for clamp bolts might be the right size. You can live without one of them on each side. The brake tied up on you fender bag could have stayed there. You had the option of unbolting the whole assembly without breaking the hydraulic line. Oh well. Live and learn.
@_JoshJB_Ай бұрын
@@brendenvosper7772 I tied it there once and it was slowly coming off. I just didn’t want to be thinking about it the whole ride. Easier to get rid of it. More expensive. But easier 😂 Thanks for watching mate 👍🏼

I had a 690 and ended up selling and going to a 500 EXC-F, the sand I ride in (Florida) isn't as loose as the last part of the video... but the 690 with it's fuel in the back of the bike and all the extra luggage he has makes it harder. Great videos and this trip is costing you some money! Blinker and brake line and bolts. What's Day 4 bring?
