Recently returned to the UK after a 9,500 mile / 8 week road trip across the US on my Multistrada 1260 Pike Peak. Perfect bike for the task and had an amazing time. The USA is without doubt the best place in the world for motorcycle touring. Already planning USA tour 2.0 for May 2025 as still so much to see.

That’s a great challenge! The last 24hrs on my adventure bike I rode from Orlando Florida back home to Pittsburgh 1011 miles in less than 24 hours! When you have a comfortable bike it’s possible to do!

Adapt the bike ergonomics to your anatomy, and you could ride 12 hours days on the saddle, without hiccups

Just realized that when your buddy was riding your RS and you were doing the pulls, the RS was only in Sport mode (not race mode). I know it would not have changed the outcome of the race, but it would’ve been a little bit closer.

What a brilliant video, thank you for sharing! And this reminded me of the Holy Three Kings on there quest for Jesus - when I ride spanish deserts for instant I usualy see only a very reduced number of ingredients too, blue sky, horizont, sand and roads I think. (2) And same seems to be with your video here, day or night, US roads, maybe a petrol caravanserai for to refresh the camel from time to time - and the rest is all pure travel. (1) And so nice to see you follow your star - and you have got one! All the best and always happy travelling! 1 - US morphes into such type of 'desert', that's reduced variety, still a little more every day? 2 - I look up 'Big Rig Travels' from time to time as well. His spectrum of views is daily long distance travel - industrial area to highway to industrial area again - another reduction in itself as well I think. (But as well representative for the USA today in a way?) (3 - That's why still more war's in the Middle East will make western society richer and more sane again? I doubt.)

I have the sport that I put on my 17 fz09 and it’s handy but I gotta channel early 90’s Van Damme energy to kick my leg over the bag though 🤣 I also never did no 24hrs. My dad though has put over 500,000 mi combined on 3 Yamaha ventures. One trip he went from SW Michigan to Alaska and back. Then not long ago from the Nevada/Cali border west of Vegas to the Labrador Canada area.

In the philippines we have an endurance event called BOSS ironman. To ride 1200kms within 24hrs but sometimes we finish it earlier. I think in the states your 24hrs of riding is more than 1200kms.
